How is the 3 to 4 shift for you guys with the transgo kits and boost? Does it slip for a split second then engage or is it solid hard shifting like the lower gears? If you leave the trans in DRIVE will it hit the rev limiter or does it shift fast enough?

I ask becuause I am considering the Transgo kit to replace my VB which was modified by SGP before the trans go kits were out. I works great in manual mode 1-2, 2-3, but I slight slip in 3-4 which cost me several tenths. And in DRIVE I hit the rev limiter in every gear and it wont shift.

Look at this video and pay attention to my 3-4 shift.

I'm really interested in getting this kit. Currently, I'm hearing grinding noises 1-2 with wot. It's driving me nuts. Does the TG kit fix this problem? I have no knowledge in Trans...... TT

transgo instructions state that your tranny must be in good working condition before attempting this upgrade. it may make problems worse if you install it.

But this is definitely an excellent upgrade! Man...I really want to take it apart and check my VB though. My 4-5 shift is very sluggish... All the others are lightning quick.
Hey, how did you solved the 4-5 sluggish shift from 4-5? I am experiencing the same issue.

i think the 4-5 shift was designed to be similar to stock - not used in racing like the rest of the shifts.

Yes shifts 4-5 remain untouched with the Transgo kit.

Rather interested in this.

How well does the transgo vb upgrade work with a reflash?

Thinking of possibly doing Transgo / Shift Paddles upgrade after full bolt-ons...

Does anyone here currently have this upgrade with a flash?

i've heard that with the Transgo + Osiris torque management you have even more crisp shifts all around. Someone on g35driver was talking about it since they had both.

Paddle shifters would be nice!

I'm not a transmission expert .. but I'm assuming its to allow the flow of more fluid through the valve body

just hit 53k miles and still shifting just as hard as it did when I installed the kit .. think I'm a lil over due for a tranny fluid change, so thats next on the to-do list

bought a bike a few months ago .. so the Z has been resting a lil .. haha

Between this and 3.5 gear, it sounds like it would make the car so much more fun to drive

Default Normal driving?

How does this handle under normal, non power driving? Does the trans still shift smooth and calm or do the tires chirp when you're just going to get groceries in town? at 35MPH

Under light loud mine seems like it doesn't want to shift and seems to slip a bit. It's to the point where I don't use it now. I had it installed while getting a turbo kit installed. I also have a heavy duty tranny cooler.

thats probably because they upped the line pressure when tuning so it would hold the power of your turbo.. thats what happened to me. but I remember when I was NA it was pretty chill under light load.
