Stillen short-throw DIY and pics!
Hey, not a lot of people seemed to be getting these, so I decided to check it out. Here's a walkthrough of the install, it was a total breeze, and the throw is insanely short!!
First, you need to take a screwdriver and pop up the center console just like you would if you would be putting in a shift boot.

Next, use the screwdriver to undo all the clasps that hold the wiring to the temperature and hazard light controls

This next part is a little tricky. The four corners of this rubber boot are bolted down with 10mm bolts, but the lower passenger side one is a PITA to get in and out. When re-installing everything, I strongly recommend not even bothering to put this one back in. Trust me...

Once that is up, remove the boot and the square metal tray. You now have left the triangle thingy, which holds down the whole shifter-apparatus and keeps it connected to the transmission. Undo all this crap. (This picture was taken during reassembly, because the next steps are under the car, and I didn't want to mess up my new Sony ax200
)
Now to take the shifter out all the way, you need to put the car up on jacks. There is a rubber boot covering the bottom of the shaft, take this off to access the pin. Undo the pin, and put the new shifter in.
Now to make the new shifter function properly, you actually have to shave the inside of the square hole in the gearbox! Take a metal file and shave the upper left corner of the box about 1/2". YOU WILL LOSE THE FUNCTION OF PUSHING DOWN ON THE SHIFTER TO GO INTO REVERSE. YOU NOW JUST THROW IT ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT AS YOU WOULD IN AN M3! Weird to get used to, horrifying and irreversible to shave your gearbox, but worth it for the quickshifter!
Anyways, Install the blue plate with the thicker side on the left, as seen below, and install all other parts!

I drove around like this for a while for fun, but got really lightheaded after 15 minutes...

And finished!!! Hope this helps anyone considering this.

I would use the instructions included with the Stillen shifter as they are spot on correct, with no mention of filing anything off the transmission.
