We need a build thread with the SIKKY kit components with step by step instructions. You and Snyper don't count since you have crazy DIY and fab skills.

A few questions on the SIKKY PS kit, where are people routing the PS line with the metal fittings? Are you coming up from behind the alternator with it and is it routed on the inside (engine side) or outside of the drivers side mount? I tried calling SIKKY, but got the voicemail, then my idiots at work blew the head gasket on my delivery van at work and I had to start looking for a new van.

I got the stock headers off today and am now working on getting the stock mounts off the LS and the mounts off the Nissan cross member. So far, the LS is so easy to work on, lots of space and no special tools required (people that have installed a TT kit know what I'm talking about).

Still wondering about this painless wiring... which harness would work for just a stock LS with throttle cable.

Edit: A how to guide would be awesome btw!

^^ this is one of the things I am going to touch on my writeup.. I decided to go the painless wiring route. But not sure if I am going to use a painless wiring kit or Speed Wire Setup or the Chase Bays kit.. I am lining towards the Chase Bay kit, cause they can add as many relays as I need. But I am still at the planning stage with this so in do time I will have all the answers for this.. Also getting rid of the ABS system..

I will try the same. I want to get the pan on today hopefully and the filter relocation kit as well if possible. Btw, SIKKY has upgraded the relocation kit to -10AN lines and connections now for more flow... WOOT!!

^yea my kit has -10 lines on it. im doing mine a bit different though. i have the out line going to the filter, then to a cooler than back to the pan. might even add another filter in there eventually, because you just cant get oil clean enough

Awesome thread and awesome builds!

I have an LS1 in my '99 Camaro (it used to be a V6). It's nice to see a few familiar faces around here

I was wondering, and I didn't catch any info as I was browsing the thread, but what kind of differential are you guys running now? Does SIKKYs driveshaft work with the OEM Z diffs?

sikkys ds bolts right up. our diffs are solid. sp made plenty of passes/dyno pulls, street abuse at 1350rwhp on a stock vlsd unit, so id imagine were safe. i have yet to see one fail actually. compared to m6 camaro diffs which explode if you look at them wrong

I've been wondering how us HR guys would have to do this swap, and you pretty much answered it. I was thinking I'd have to kind of swap some DE clutch parts, but after seeing this..... It looks as if there may be a way to adapt the hydraulic lines from the HR CSC the this, or just use the ZSpeed CSC.

Thanks.

Good info and thanks for contributing that!! Does anyone have their SIKKY master cylinder kit lying around to see if the SIKKY line has the restriction?

bbs - does the SIKKY shaft bolt right to the trans piece or to the dounut looking piece seen here?

The Official LS Swap Info/Questions Thread-p7121785.jpg

Also, when putting the SIKKY oil pickup and oil pan on, did you use any RTV? Same for the shifter I guess too?

Thanks.

Lol, that's why I was asking ha ha. Wow, 1350whp on that diff? T56 as well, or is it a built one (the Viper T56)?

And you're welcome for the link guys, I'm happy I can be of some help to you!

I'm a regular on LS1tech.com so I'd be happy to help provide some more info on things if need be. I'm by no means a pro over there, but there are a ton of threads/write ups/info that can be found for literally every question possibly related to the LS motors!

i have no idea what that piece is lol. the ds bolts to the front of the diff, mines metal on metal lol. unless i misunderstood and your referring to some ls part, ive never seen that rubber before (works on gf's and forum members)

no rtv as i have the gaskets, but if i develop a leak or something im gonna slosh it up with rtv.

sp did it on a stock 04 z trans with their built vq35de. im running a built t56 from a ws6. from what i recall the viper is a 31 spline and wont work with the sikky ds whis is a 27 spline.

any more ls tips/tricks, etc feel free to toss them in here, the infos much appreciated!!

The TT LS swapped Z by CIN dyno'd at 840hp / 900tq on 14psi.

They posted the info on our club website. Didn't post the chart or brand dyno. Sounds interesting.
