Love your build though, and can't wait to see it completely finished. Hopefully the a/c and gauges can work like oem with no issues.

They will be working 100% along with every other oem feature.
Gets wiring specialties picking up the car to bring it back to their sop to finish and button everything up electrical wise.

Impressive. Plain and clean as fawk with a gentle giant tucked inside. Will be quieter than a stock Vq unless open dumps that's for sure. Def sleeper status. Love it

Ok well the cars done ands driving great. Here's pics of driving 2 hours to Connecticut to wiring specialties shop which was awesome and prepping the car for the drive home.everything works like factory and is just awesome.

Wowing specialties front entrance

Putting the bumper on ands looking overt things before the drive

Sleep JZ to the left
Buddy's stocker (for now) to the right at a quick run to lowes.

Little video of a quick cruise

This is awesome! I have been looking into doing this for a while, props for pulling it off. I have a few questions.

1. How far did you have to push the trans back and how much shorter did the drive shaft have to be to use the aristo mounts? Did you have to make a custom trans cross member? Any pics of under the car?

2. How was the wiring done to use stock gauges and such? Do they offer a plug and play wiring harness?

3. Did the Collins adapter and hoke shifter relocation line right up or were there some adjustments to be made?

This is a great build and would love to be able to pull it off some day, although in a G coupe. The reason for question 1 is because I know that the Zs drive shaft is shorter than the Gs so I was wondering if I could just use the drive shaft from a Z instead of getting a custom made piece but I have yet to find the dimensions on either drive shaft.

All these questions were answered threw out the build thread.

1.a few inches shorter, but exactly sure off the top of my head, got a shaft made from shaft masters, yes I modified the stock trans mount.

2.wiring specialties

3.lined right up, had to elongate the existing motor mount holes in order to have everything sit level.

Tbh if your looking to save 300$ by trying to use a z shaft
Lol this swap is not for you.

Thanks for the quick reply. As for the drive shaft, a custom piece wouldn't break the build I just thought it would be cool to make the swap more of a bolt together build vs getting custom made parts. If you could pick up a used oem part that is perfectly fine from a local junk yard for $75-$100 vs getting a custom piece made for $4-500 then why not?

Also the Collins adaptor won't line up perfectly with the newer trannys for the HR. Mine didn't. And for me the flywheel is too damn noisy. Will install tons of dynamat around the shifter to try to dampen the noises.

Updates ******

Car has been tuned making 460whp on 15 psi. Boost controller wasn't working correctly.
Fixed that and am now putting together a new fuel system with surge tank (twin AEM 380lph )in battery location, battery in trunk , made new tabs for DNA racing radiator and eliminated the Oem core support.
I need to finish that up and get ready tuned on 93 which I should get around 500 whp and close to 700 hp on e85 on a completely stock 2jzgte.bash bar with new bumper mounts will becoming soon along with some wheels and suspension....
