Lol, thanks guy's. I am pretty excited too.
FB question.
The Do-Luck front bumper I have fits great but the 6# mounting under hood don't line up(well 3# do-3# don't) so I am going to have to sand/fill and make new mounting holes. Then of course is the hood. I will get the FB fit before I start messing with the hood.
Horse power question.
with the money and time I expect 1100 at the rear wheels but what you expect and what you get are 2 different things.. I would be happy with 900+ though. which shouldn't be a problem. Looking for that magically # of 25lbs of boost. we'll see.
Comment.
Thanks SmoothZ, it technically does has a core support bar so I wonder if I could get away with it?. I don't so posse you still have your white 350z?. Haven't seen you in a couple of years.
Done by May question.
I know crazy huh, but a million things to do yet. I need to measure and buy a drive shaft since this is a custom motor and trans mounting kit(Not sikky or the other brand). I need a catch can for the pcv hoses running off the VC's a rad overflow tank.Fuel lines from fuel reg to rails. a return line, front bumper and hood fab.I need to finish up the Holley HP wiring. So I have plenty left to do. But yes all the hard work is done now just all the little nickel and dime stuff is left.
Top end question.
243's(P&P by me) I tried to find a nice pair of 799's but I couldn't... Cam is a little big...LJMS Stage II twin turbo cam 226/235 .605'/.610' 114+5..660' Lift Platinum Dual Spring, titanium retainers, 155 lbs @1.780' 380 lbs @ 1.180' 400 lbs @ 1.130' coil bind @ 1.070' Chromoly Pushrods 7.400.
ls7 lifters, ls9 head gaskets. and of course apr studs. Stock rockers and peds.
The top end and turbo's was a thought out plan(LJMS). Coming from a built VQ running twin 18g's I was used to instant power, and I didn't want lag. So the Billet wheels 6266's with a 5.3 is a good match.
If money wasn't a problem I would have went ERL or next bored out to a 408 run twin 6766's.But I didn't and still don't have 4500$ for a bare block.

Dave,
It was at running aces, **** I didn't see you there though. I was parked next to the vipers a R8 and the 1 ferrari. Funny having having more HP then super cars.
After that show I decided to sell my Duc 1198 and my drive train to fund the 5.3 TT build. 1 week later the VQ motor was sold and shipped to Denver.

Nice! I remember that group of cars but didn't see you.
I got there later in the day. It was good seeing your car there. I had heard that you sold it, but I guess they were wrong.

Crazy yeah I did leave early. I don't do well at those 8 in the morning shows.
Funny thing is I was tiring to sell it for 20k and buy a 62-64 nova. But all I got was low ball offers and no shows. hard to get a 20K loan on a X year old car.
Then I was going to sell th e1198 and the drive train then sell off the body and find a 62-64 nova. So I sold the 1198 and the whole drive train in pieces. then starting looking for the 62-64 well after driving all the down to texas and looking at hacked up cars sells for 8-10k I said screw it and decided to stick with the 350z. all the rust and striped out nuts and bolts made me decided to stay with the Z.

I've been looking for an old muscle car, like a 70 Buick GS. Then I think the same thing. My Z is rust free and just as fun to drive. I'm in maintenance mode now. It's all good.
