2JZ swap not lining up
So I recently put the motor in the car thinking everything would be fine however the engine is just not lining up correctly as you can see from the picture it causes the transmission to go towards the passenger side rather than the middle and yes this is when I tighten up the mounts. The only thing I can think of is the engine mounting brackets were not made correctly. They are freed engineering mounting brackets, I also had to drill a bit bigger of a hole to get the holes to line up on the engine block correctly so I don't think it's far fetched that the brackets are angled wrong. Anything else you guys might think is causing this?

Sorry for not updating this when I figured it out, to those who are wondering the mounts are side specific they are labeled left and right, right being passenger side and left being driver. The problem was the mounting points on the block. I have a vvti which has different mounting points on the block than other JZ blocks but the vvti block still has the holes tapped they’re just not used from the factory. When I took off the oem mounting brackets I simply put them back in the same spot but that’s incorrect if you have a vvti. This all only pertains to the exhaust side the intake side only has one mounting location. So if you have a vvti don’t use those mounting points use the other set that’s on the block.

I’m doing everything myself however not to the extent chaseZ is. He made is own mounts, exhaust and pretty much everything that requires a lot of fabrication. Unfortunately that is not in my skill set. I’ve bought all my mounts and then will be sending it off to a shop for intercooler piping and exhaust. Everything else has been done by me so far. If you’d like me to start a build thread let me know.
