Default National Speed: Turbo-Purposed VQ35DE Installed Special...

This is an engine we built for a customer for his 2004 Nissan 350Z that was getting a custom National Speed, Inc. twin-turbocharger system. After the engine was built and paid for, he decided to take some time off, and travel for the next... Well... Indefinite amount of time. So he asked me to sell the current engine, and told me we'll build a new one when he makes his way back to Wilmington.

We will not sell and ship the engine elsewhere, the engine is for sale at an installed/packaged price only. Contact me by the means below for pricing and details.

- Phone: (910) 332-5901 (Extension 1 and ask for Jordan)

We are an UpRev Pro Tuner and dealer, and are proficient in Haltech, MoTeC and other means of tuning these vehicles. We can also provide many means of turbocharging as well as supporting modifications for this engine if the buyer should opt to have that done at the same time.

The information on the engine is as follows;

- OEM VQ35DE engine block, stock sleeves
- 96mm Arias Extreme Duty pistons (.020"/.508mm overbore from stock 95.50mm)
- Pauter rods
- ACL "Race" connecting rod and main bearings
- IP billet main-cap girdle
- ARP standard main studs
- ARP L19 head studs
- Cometic 98mm/.030" cylinder head gaskets
- Ported OEM cylinder heads (mild runner and valve work, nothing serious)
- Brian Crower 264/264 camshafts
- Brian Crower valve springs and titanium retainers
- Port matched lower intake manifold
- MotorDyne 5/16" plenum spacer
- RC Engineering 750cc injectors
- OEM Nissan water pump
- OEM Nissan thermostat
- OEM Nissan 350Z Rev Up oil pump
- Power Enterprise lower oil pan
- All other unmentioned components, gaskets and seals OEM Nissan

Below is my documentation of the build process;

The engine block back from the machine shop...

The cylinder heads back from the machine shop...

The components, ready for cleaning and assembly...

ARP L19 head studs... These heads are NOT lifting...

The timing covers about to be cleaned...

Assembly rolling forward...

John cleaning the mating surfaces...

The engine surface...

The cylinder...

The rebuild and improvement components...

Ready to be assembled...

John about to do work...

The 100% refreshed ported cylinder heads...

Brain Crower cams...

The cylinder heads on...

John unwrapping one of the L19 cylinder head studs...

The camera doesn't show it well, but the L19 style has a bronze finish to it, it looks really cool...

Dropping in...

Oh yeah...

The head studs being torqued down...

Front/rear timing cover on, camshafts installed...

John cleaning the front/front timing cover, acting happy, as always...

Hup, back to work...

The engine timed...

John freshly siliconing the front/front cover...

Shots of the camshafts installed...

Timing covers and valve covers installed...

The engine in crate form...

I hope to see this engine go to good use, it's a shame to see such an awesome setup sitting on a stand.

Please contact me if you need further clarification on anything at all!
