If the bearings look fine, within spec and pass clearences, you can save 80 dollars. I have a vq in a 240, these rods are worth more than my car. lol

If your car is worth less than $225, you shouldn't even be reading this ad...

80$ on top of 3 grand for an engine build is a stupid thing to skimp on. I've never re-used rod or main bearings. Even in engines i've opened up to inspect. If it gets opened, they get replaced.

Do you know what brings up the build to 3 grand. Its labor, not parts. Buy cheap parts like this, do the labor yourself and your 3 grand is now 500 bucks. Why replace the pistons, or hone the walls if you have no issue with oil consumption or piston/wall clearence. Just think about it, replace the weekest link on the engine and thats it. Forged performance blocks are 3500 bucks because of the boring, redecking, checking clearances, and w/e is necessary. Parts wise, you're only buying pistons rods and bearings wchich is grand max and those are brand new parts. Thats why ill jump on deals like this even if im not gonna throw these rods in tomorow...

Please, nomore of this back and forth thing. I'm not here to argue, just wanted to know if the bearings were in good condition. Ill buy new bearings if you guys stop coming back . haha

How can the pistons have suffered enough damage that you are certain that they are "no good" while at the same time, you are confident that the rods are fine?
