Its almost worth it!
I hate and I mean hate the included haltech patch harness with my harness version. Awkward brick is awkward!
If I already have my external boost sensor, widebands and 02 sensors wired up, how easy is it to swap over?
Is there a trade in program for the harness version?

^There is a connector included that plugs into the ecu for expansion items. You would hook your map sensor and o2 sensors into it, as well as boost control if you have it. Very simple / painless
Previous mapping can be imported into the new ecu (fuel and ignition tables), but some tuning will be required for the new tables/items such as drive by wire and flex fuel if applicable.
No trade in program, sorry.

I've had mine in my G for about 2 weeks now, and the only thing I have found that it doesn't do is this: I had a Blitz R-Vit II, which plugged into the OBD port and displayed various things such as water temp, air intake temp, battery voltage, etc... The Blitz R-Vit no longer is able to communicate with the Haltech plug and play ECU. There may be a setting somewhere that enables this, but I doubt it.
Anyways, everything else works (cruise, A/C, factory gauges, etc...) I have not yet found antyhgin that doesn't work, although there are no guarantees.

Correct, this system plugs into the stock harness and replaces the stock computer. It does control/retain the factory systems like you mention... cruise control, ac, gauges etc. Let us know if you need any more info or have any questions. Feel free to call, 502-384-8882.
@Dave- change your blitz to OBD2 generic and it will work
