What kind of turbo is on it?

So after a couple of months nobody else has lined up to get this decently priced single turbo kit installed?

JGYBB37 aka GT2871R .64 a/r turbo

nope they haven't
I contribute 3 things to why.

1. that it got posted the he made X amount of power at 5000rpms. 1 out of 10 people can understand what happened, I knew it would go bad when he refused to put injectors in......and that is what happened

2. The internet is overrun with sites advertising everything. Back in the day, there might be 50 sites advertising vacuum cleaners.....now there are probably 55,000. Specific example for Z32's let's say, now Z1motorsports is just a dot on the ceiling for thos cars. There are so many fake sites, etc advertising and companies buying domains up that it's tricky.

3. JGY's location, JGY gets most of it's installs and motor builds from 5 hours or greaters from where they are. Charlotte NC is 2.5 hours from here, but someone in Charlotte would prefer to drive to Maryland before here. The same goes for Richmond. Someone from Richmond, which is 4.5hours from here would prefer to drive to Atlanta. Our lot is filled with TX, KS, PA, etc cars.

The first 2 I understand. The 3rd one.......I don't get.

He may have already ordered injectors and fuel pump from somewhere else. Probably the shop that will do the install and tune for him.

true
I was sort of teasing.

JGY is doing the install and the tuning.

I wouldn't think he would buy them before though. I would think after.

He said he was going to buy them later.

Why would he buy them after the install and tune? That doesn't make any sense. Buy them before, install them with the turbo install then tune it so you don't have to re-tune it. Doesn't make sense to me at all.

I keep shopping online for similar type of kits, but I must add you guys have the best price for this type of kit. Your install price and supporting mods seem reasonable as well. The car guy in me wants to seriously splurge on this like I did with my S13, but now my practical side wins out.

We all wish someone would chime in on their experience with this kit and your shop, good or bad. I'd like some dyno #s with proper fuel support and or some test and tune #s at the drag strip as well. At least that's what I would do if my car was kitted with your setup lol. I would also report on my daily driving experiences. I would imagine fuel mileage to be the same or even better with a proper tune and a light foot on the throttle, ya?

I wonder if my 8 year old car could rough up Cadillac's new twin turbo 6cyl or lightly tuned N54s...hmm. I've seen vids with single turbo's easily running mid 12s. I wonder if those cars are still around

Really couldn't argue about what you are saying.

Also, I didn't start this thread, so my thoughts expressed are just that mine.
With that said,

1. I thought the thread was posted to explain that the kit existed, to tell the price, and to show some photos of the install.

2. JGY can't force people to join the forum and post on this thread expressing their experiences with the turbo kit.

I guess it's the turbo kit that know one will ever hear of and get passed with in the race.

What is the HP rating on the Cadillac you speak of?

Sorry, I didn't see the reply until now. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...-6-test-review. New cars are neat, but expensive! That car runs 12.9@ 111mph according to C&D. 420hp/430tq at the crank, air to liquid intercooled twin mitsubishi turbos. I guess the ATS would be the proper weight class to compare any G, but that new motor seems interesting because it's a big 6cyl and made for boost. I wonder what a tuned version could put out.
