Formula Drift Tech Day & Source Interlink Meet Photos
This is the second year in a row that Source Interlink (Import Tuner, Super Street, etc) & Formula Drift have teamed up for a tech day and meet.
Last year I was unable to attend and the weather was really bad so there was a low turnout. This year I was able to attend and the Source Interlink team promoted it nearly a month in advance so there was a massive turnout.
Side note - this meet was actually held in my work parking lot so I had access to roof shots that no one else was able to capture (Exclusive!!)
It was a pretty large meet
This was still early in the morning, the parking lot would completely fill before noon
FD officials conducting their inspections
Some classics in the corner of the Source Interlink garage
Great posters in the garage as well
Now time for the cars in attendance, little surprise to see me start out with a Hakosuka, Jeebus this thing was clean!
Classic engine with a couple of modern touches
This thing had all the boxes checked (fender flares, aggressive wheels, and functional stance)
This R32 was parked next to it, only in SoCal!
Digging the blue color
This is my buddy BJ's (aka Inzpire) M3, he was once a Z owner and moved on and I really like his setup
Red on red and legit BBS's, I really liked it and I'm surprised it took me so long to finally get a chance to shoot it
Yes I know this is a stock BRZ, but this is also another friend of mine Calin. After driving a Fiat 500 for awhile he switched over to the BRZ
Another friend of mine Arnel and his uber clean and rare slick-top Z32 on NISMO LMGT4's
First time I had seen this particular BRZ, but it looked great on a set of gold Advans
There were also a couple of really nice Mustangs in attendance,,
This was a really nice setup on this Evo, pretty sure it was the Voltex setup and it looked menacing
This RHD EG was really rocking the current USDM trend, not my style but I can respect it
White on bronze is always a nice combo and this R35 pulled it off
Aggressive set of Takata green TE-37SL's on a nice S2k, nice setup!
A couple of classics also rolled in, this Camaro was flawless
Nice set of Volk LE28's on this 350z
This was an awesome Mustang sitting on a set of TSW Interlagos, this was a really nice build
Classy use of carbon fiber under the hood as well and it's SC'd
I really liked the setup on this FR-S, I don't think there is a car that doesn't look good on TE-37 SL's
My buddy Alf and his previously black G35 now sporting a new color change all together!
Alf is very meticulous in his build and went out of his way to polish or paint whatever he could to push the car over the edge. It was a great overall execution
Sticker bombed 510, I wish I would have been able to get a front shot
This was the second time I have spotted this Corolla and you will notice it was even featured in Modified magazine
Nice Z4 on a set of Works
Lurking in the corner was Jon Sibal's Challenger on SSR's
This was the first time I had seen this car in person and as a fan of Jon's work I really liked it
What a nice setup of SSR SP1's, so clean!
This is a massive car but Jon did a good job of keeping it sporty
Last but not least is my good friend Aariyan's Z on a brand new set of TE37-SL's in High Metal Bronze
Notice that these are not the silver-finish that you normally see on the SL's, these are actually more of a copper-finish in person, pretty cool
