Default GReddy EVO2 Modified into a TRUE Dual - G35 Fitment

I bought this GReddy EVO2 off another member about 5 years ago. I had it on my '03 coupe ever since - probably about 20k miles. When I went turbo, I modified the exhaust into a true dual. For those of you who don't know, the "stock" EVO2 actually comes together into a single exhaust for about 3 feet, a good portion of which is single 60mm ( 2-3/8")! Obviously that is a big restriction for FI, so I got out the saw and the TIG welder, found some 60mm stainless tubing and got to work. All of the welds are back purged so they are nice and strong and clean on the inside. Fitment is perfect!

I am selling because I went to a GReddy EVOTT, which is almost identical to this exhaust except it is 10mm (3/8") larger in diameter. I am shooting for over 500 rwhp and I found a great deal on a new EVOTT which is why I changed. Honestly my new EVOTT and this exhaust sound nearly identical.

Now for the ugly part. The stock EVO2 has some short, small diameter pipes (maybe 2" diameter, 4" long) welded inside the mufflers for added silencing. They are only welded at one end so they are effectively suspended inside the mufflers. Imagine those removable silencers that come with Apexi exhausts and such - its like that only permanent. Kinda hard to explain but I could draw a picture if you want. Well for whatever reason, these rusted away where they were welded in and they fell out. Now I didn't really mind, because after they were gone the exhaust was just that much more free flowing! When I got the EVOTT I looked closely at the mufflers and compared them to the EVO2 mufflers. Without these little pipes in there anymore, the EVO2 mufflers look identical to the EVOTT ones, which explains why the two systems now sound identical as well.

That being said, I would probably not put this on an NA G35 - it would probably be a little loud. It is perfect for a stock block turbo setup though, up to about 450 whp I would say. Although it is meant for a G35, it would be fairly easy to shorten it to fit a 350Z.

Finally I would also like to mention that the internals of at least one of the mufflers appears to be corroding, to the point where there is a small hole developing and if you look inside the muffler you can see a little bit of the steel mesh packing peeking out. It has been like this for over a year, and there's nothing I could really do about it so I left it alone. Check out the pictures to see what I mean. For this reason I am heavily discounting this exhaust!

$350 picked up in Grand Rapids Michigan. I would be willing to meet somewhere within an hour drive.

I would rather not ship, but if it comes down to it, I would say $450 shipped and paypaled.

Also I forgot to mention, it comes with a brand new EVAP canister mounting bracket, but no gaskets or hardware.

Not a bad deal for a full exhaust system, someone should get on these!

I'm running the same exhaust and it's good to know that the Evo2 age well! Been 5+ years and that thing looks like new after a wipe down!

Awesome price... bump for you

Thanks, although I would consider those to be some of the less pretty welds that I have done. I have gotten better since then:
