www.bulletproofautomotive.com for Powerhouse Amuse (lightest, most expensive, dry carbon, need to import from Japan)

www.varisusa.com (Great quality, expensive)

www.fiberimages.com (more affordable, can be made in full carbon or fiberglass w/carbon top, made in USA, good quality)

www.350Zforums.com (not recommended unless you just want the cheapest solution, heavy, does not fit perfect)

The Fiberimages hatch is supposed to be ~$600 and should be available in the next few weeks. They have it on the website, but if you call they should confirm. If you can't wait for it then your next best option is probably the Varis since it is only ~$1200 and they usually have at least one in stock in California warehouse.

OMG do you think Bulletproofauto is expensive enough.....there prices are just stupid high.

$8,600 for cf doors.

who wouold pay that seriously.

i would think you could get some custom made here for less than that.

neway not only those....i think they had $300 for the cf b-pillar covers. those are stickers. wtf are they thinking.

The doors are Dry Carbon - Obviously not a choice for a show or a street car, but for those who are racing their Z the weight savings from dry carbon doors is immense. Couple that with the Amuse exhaust, dry carbon hatch, etc etc..

In the new issue of Speed, apparently the Amuse Z is down to 2880 lbs!

Fiber Images said that the carbon hatch is ready. I talked to them at SEMA. You just need to call and ask for it.

you can also make your Z 2880lbs for a lot less money.

what if you get in a minor accident.....oh there goes over 4k in the tubes. I will say agian.....im sure you could go to company here in the US somewhere and have them custom make you dry carbon doors for half that price. Just seems ridiculous.

how much is a SawZall anyways? should be easy to remove 600ish lbs...

But I agree, the pricing on these is amazing. But if you are competing with your Z, sometimes the best money spent is for making lightness. Definetly not for a street/show car, I'd put these in the hardcore racers category only

More importantly in your accident scenario - if you are on the street, then chances of severe injury/death are greatly increased by removing the mass/side intrusion protection of the stock doors/reinforcements. At least a proper track car would have a cage or something

Not many companies here in the states are skilled with (or even know what it is) producing Dry Carbon.

That's why you're not a hardcore racer Like Rich said, for a proffesional race team where money is no object, only the best will do! And if you want the best then Bulletproof are good enough to offer it direct from Japan. I have seen Powerhouse Amuse dry cabon products in the flesh and they are nothing short of amazing ! Maybe one of these days....

actually i am a hard core racer.....just a not a stupid hard core racer. I would think there are other ways of shedding the same weight out of your doors...without spending 8,600.

I f i had a sponsor that would pay for my 8k doors...hell yeah i would get them. Im sure they are badass. jUst too pricey

It should be noted that the Amuse Z has posted the fastest lap time on Tsukuba circuit of any NA Z in all of Japan. And that was with interior, air conditioning, power windows and cruise control. I believe the # was 1 minute 2 seconds.
