Default This Wing Too "Ricey?"

Ok, the wing for my car is the last puzzle piece that's missing. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this wing. Is it too "ricey" or is it just under the bar? That's my initial opinion. Not tooooo tall, but maybe just right.

What does everyone else think?

I like it, but if you think its too tall then you might want to look at the do-luck or power enterprise wing. they are much lower and still a gt style wing liek the one you posted.

Yeah, I know. Kinda steep compared to the Nismo wing and it's knock offs. That was my second choice. I'll let this one brew a while longer and get some more feedback.

Nismo33 - I do like the Power Enterprise wing, but I don't care for the way it mounts to the trunk. I mean this is my baby we're talking about here! haha Almost wish I would have got SB. Look's great!

i dig it. i WAS gonna get the veilside v1, but i think that takes it's place. v1 lip, greddy sides, and that wing on my SB would look nice, imo.

any suggestions for a rear piece with the setup above? i kinda want a diffuser type rear skirt. any ideas?

this wing suits the z most from a function point of view.
it generate downforces but doesnt add drag as much as other GT wing since it seats lower.

The ings+1 wing is nice, either tall or low. I would love to pick up the low dry carbon wing, it's sick in person.

Tony, can you post a pic or link of the wing you're talking about?

My hesitation with wings like that is the color contrast. It makes it look like a bolted on afterthought. If these extreme wings were just painted the same color as the car they would seem less 'in your face' and flow better.

LanceG33 - How do you like your Nismo wing? That was my second choice.

I love it . . . provides a more aggressive look without screaming for the wrong kind of attention. The Z has such nice, fluid lines that I feel only certain wings work. Although, I like a more classic and timeless look to my sportcars.

Install is pricey if you have the OEM spoiler in place - there are two little holes that the Nismo wing does not cover. Easy install if you don't have the OEM spoiler though.

Yeah, I don't have a wing yet. I was gonna paint the top part of the Nismo black anyway! haha I'm going with the painted black Tenzo Mean 6s. I think those wheels with the black wing would look sweet.

Trimming any color with black should look nice and mean . . . then, if you smoke your lights/lenses and have dark tint you will have a killer look.

I kinda like the look of the carbon fiber wing that looks like the Nismo. I like the way it attaches to the truck lid a little better. You can paint carbon firber, right?
