Default NiSMO Lip Kit Question???

Sorry if this sounds too noob guys/gals! I was on Performance Nissan Parts.com website and I've been browsing the NiSMO lip kit for the 350Z coupe '03:

NiSMO Lip Kit

I could have sworn the NiSMO kit was supposed to have a full front bumper where the center mouth has a single slat instead of our black multislat OEM NA bumper. On the contrary, the kit shown on Performance Nissan's site shows a NiSMO kit that is strictly a front lip that attaches to the OEM NA bumper, is this a real NiSMO kit? I'm totally clueless about it's existence, so any feedback you guys/gals could throw my way would definitely cast some light my way! Thanks!!!

You are thinking of the Japanese version which is also fiberglass.

Nope.

Japanese version is full bumper and fiberglass

US version is lip and plastic

Although Gruppe-S is running a group buy on a plastic replica of the japanese version, look for their group buy if interested.

Yes, the JDM Nismo front is a full replacement bumper that is made of fiberglass. Fitment is still to OEM standards, its just that it is a fiberglass bumper. The USDM front lip is a urethane add on lip spoiler to your OE bumper. The USDM Nismo side skirts are also a bit different fromthe JDM ones, the USDM skirts flare out more. We have plenty of these items in stock.

Oh sweet, thanks for the info Andy! It's nice to see a dealer helping out in the forums!

It is their first try so not sure but I have had great dealings with those guys before and they stand behind what they sell even if they do not make it.

Hey Jinsei,

go with the original JDM Nismo Kit. My dealer said that the installation was a wonderful work to do. Only minimalst fitment adjusments and GFK all the way.

Beside that I always thought: If the original is perfect, do you really want to go with a cheaper replica? I know it's kind of an easy way of thinking so guys that buy replicas sorry no offending here!

If you have any questions regarding the JDM Kit feel free to ask. You saw my pics and I sure want to see your car with a great bodykit.

Oh, I totally agree with you GODD, I dread the downfalls of fiberglass...that's the only thing I dislike, rock chips, harsh damage when scraping on pavement, and just the problem when it cracks from damage...I LOVE original quality parts over replica any day and I want this car to be FULL genuine and strictly Japanese produced parts...but the front bumper is one particular part that I am afraid of going fiber glass on, the sides and rear diffuser NiSMO parts I am going to stick with fiberglass NiSMO Japan OEM, but the front...if the GruppeS type is perfect in fitment and build and is in polyurethane, it's just too tempting
