I saw some good deals on EBAY. They have the model that fits the Z. No modification necessary. 8000K $295.00 The name of the vendor in Supervtec. Hope that helps...db

no

go find a dealer of Phillips replacement bulbs.

Or go to HIDexpress.com

do you need a full HID kit or just bulbs.

bulbs run around $250 or less.

What is the difference between replacing a full HID kit and just bulbs??

Anyone can show some pictures of replacing 8000k or 6000k HID bulbs??

real 8000K arent street legal, and they would be extremely extremetly Blue to the fact that they woudl not provide adiquate lighting. The 8000k that you see mostly for sale have the outter bulb painted blue in color, which isnt true 8000k and also the painting will reduce the life of the bulb. I personally woudl get the 6000K over the 8000k, look for PHILIPS ULTINON they are very high quality true 6000k hids. If your car (G35/350Z) is already equipted with HID, you only need to get the bulbs, which are D2R IIRC.

Also beware of other 6000k or 8000k bulbs as they use the lighting term. as a sellign factor, some are not their true color rating, go with well know companies, as one companies 6000k arent equal is brightness, color, and bulb life, to another companies.

(Also, remeber that you will get the most amount of visible lighting on the roads from a lower temp rating of about 4100k-4300k, GENERALLY anythign higher migth look *cooler* but will provide less efective lighting.)

Hey I bought my 8000k bulbs from HIDExpress. I like them but you do lose some visibility since the blue hue doesn't contrast as well with the road, although it seems to me that road signs light up like christmas trees. Not sure why that is. Anyhow mine are pretty much perfect but there is a slight flaw in the lighting pattern on the driver side bulb. I am the only person that notices it but it pisses me off. I am going to raise the car today or tomorrow night and readjust the little bugger to see if maybe it is mounted funny. If you don't mind a LITTLE loss of visibility, go for it. My buddies like it and I think they spill awesome light .

Donny B, what do u mean by no modification necessary? Is it just a complete swap of the ballast and bulbs? Everything will plug into place without no cutting/splicing into the oem wires? I am interested in getting a new set since i dont really like my current HID;s

I haven't checked out any of the above links, but typical aftermarket kits have different wiring setups, thus the bulbs (bases of them) are different from the OEM bulb. You really have to be aware of the base of the bulb to see if it looks like the OEM HID or if it has wires that come out of the bottom. The wires out of the bottom type uses a different wiring setup, and ballasts, etc. But, of course you could do some splicing, etc. to make everything work if you really wanted to

he purchased them from www.globalpremier.com i just bought a set as well but mine are 8K. Cant wait to put those suckers in. I dont like the fact that when our HID bulbs warm up they turn into the yellowish look like all other cars.

I believe that some of that yellowish color is attributed to the little bulbs on the side inside the housing... I think that some people have changed those out as well with bulbs that emitted more white or bluish...
