Default Front Grill kits

Have seen only a few posts with pictures of replacement grill kits. The Stock is ok but its pretty flimsy black plastic. I think the chrome look would set it off. Any pictures with prices would be welcome......

Default Stillen Chrome Grill

Here is Mine... its the Stillen Chrome Grill. I first ordered the one with the matter finish, but it does not look right! the chrome looks perfect with the front emblem and headlights. Performance Nissan (mynismo.com) has the best price on the grill (131).

Did you have to cut/remove the stock grille? Looks good..I think the matte finish would match my car better....but those are things that are hard to tell without actually seeing the thing in person.

with the stillen grille, you do not have to cut out the oem plastic grille.
it goes over the existing grille and is attached by clips.

Third and final grille replacement......I should have spent the $ for the quality to begin with......Some folks are also using 3/8 inch chromed door edge molding.....looks nice but mine kept coming off....Here are a couple pics....Dave

Default T-Rex Billet

With the T-Rex Billet Style Grill, do you have to replace the stock grill or does it just go over it?

No you don't. The T-Rex comes with 4 hook mounts that latch on to your OEM grille. This is tightened with screws located in between the T-Rex grille. After you tighten these screws, the grille should fit flush against your OEM grille.

Tip: If you tighten it, be sure to use a fairly small screw driver or else you risk scratching the grille.

Did you have to take the front bumper off to do this or can you squeeze some hands up in there?

No, I did not have to remove my bumper. What I did is simply pre-screw the mounts to the T-Rex grille and then placed it in position on top of the OEM grille. All you have to make sure is that the hooks grab on to your OEM grille. Once it is in position, you can simply start tightening the screws which should hold it in place.

Speaking for my grille, I did have to cut out the factory grille.....But mine also had the brackets to bolt it in......but I think GTNPU Z's grille is an authentic T-Rex.....It looks real nice to me....It appears to have more grille blades......Dave

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately, I bought that crappy one off Ebay (X-mad gift rather, but I told the girly to get it) for 70 bux. Think I'll run into probs with install? Does anyone have this one and is it as bad as people say?

I'm going to put it on anyway because I have it, and since I have another kit sitting in the garage. Can you tell me anything I should know about installing it? Easy hard? tips?

Now that this So Cal rain is over, I can finally wash and install some stuff.

If it's the same kit....It really won't look too bad....Mine had a bunch of pull-ties......If this is the same as yours, then the hardest part is getting your arm between the frame and nose to get a good grip....It should be no biggie at all....Good luck, Dave p.s. I still went to Home Depot and bought a can of Bright Aluminum/Chrome spray paint....It helped alot....Make sure you paint it before you install it.......heh
