Default Vizage kit, fogs or no fogs?--opinions please

i just bought the vizage kit! great looking kit, very high quality fiberglass! anyway, i was thinking of cutting out the fog light holes and having the area refiberglassed to the contour of the bumper. i think there is too much going on up front on this kit, anybody agree? or should i leave the bumper alone?

here are some pics, two are obviously photo chopped. not my Z!

Yah my car in a photochop! WOO..

really i think if you take the fog ports out it will just look like am impul, vertex body kit. i mean i guess it tones it down, and it would be easier to maintain with out the fogs. less parts to buy and the fitment if the fogs is a little strange.

i would say keep them and get the DAMD 3-way fogs for it.

the funny thing about that is there really isn't a standard fog light that just fits, i have PIAA lights but i'm sure there are a bunch of different nights that could also fit. its really just a gamble. the PIAA's that i have don't fill the hole they just kinda hang in the hole. i would love to get something that fills the hole better..

wow that sounded wrong

my kit came with the fogs. i will check the brand later but i can tell you from what i can remember, the fogs fit flawlessly. the kit is at the auto hobby shop on base waiting to get painted. i'll post which fogs i have next time i pass by there.

I would definately put the fogs in. IMO it will look weird without the fogs being that it flows with the bumper.

Another idea you can try, is to install the Varis air duct in the Vizage bumper. I'm not sure if it will work, but IMO it will certainly be unique. GL!

Vitamin, so you're getting rid of your Veilside setup?

I'm curious to see how it looks on your PPW, but since it is a light color I would recommend making it cleaner as you suggested.

Good luck, either way I'm sure it'll be great.

thought of doing that from the get go but not sure if i will do it or not. no fogs would also be unique. how about no fogs plus the varis air duct? i need to phot chop that set up. i ordered the varis cf heat shields(@2months ago) so if they fit my vizage lip then i might install both to continue the CF theme. if not, i sell them both.

GQ 350z: i have already sold my veilside set-up.

btw, i also just switched out my borla for an injen. i went with the engine because it looks better for show which is where i am headed with my Z. overall i am satisfied with it but it does not sound better than the borla. it is a little loud and not nearly as throaty sounding. the fit and finish was alot better than the borla imo. the borla went on my buddies vortech SC Z.

Are you getting your kit painted on Eglin? I have been looking for a good paint shop around Ft. Walton.

Hey JM ............. You got to go with the Fogs. Take another look at xsmallpaulx's ride. The fogs are bitching .... period, end of story. Did you receive my earlier PM?

owali1: i will have the kit painted on hurlburt. the guy who always paints my stuff is pretty good. i would not let anyone touch my car if they were not good at what they do, i am very picky! if you ever need something painted just let me know!

jazz z1: i received your pm's thanks. i haven't told ray what you said though, i'll make it a point to tell him next time we speak. i just might leave it alone, it i still still there is too much going on after the kit is on, i could always go back and eliminate the fog light pods. it would be alot more difficult to do the opposite.

ghost11: i wish someone would post a pic of this kit in white. that would be very helpful to me. i'll guess i'll have to be the first!!

btw, since i eliminated the rear wiper arm on my Z, i will use the rear wiper switch to power and turn off my fogs if i decide to stay with the them.

You should keep the fogs. They're one of the things that makes this kit unique. They're tastefully done, and I get LOTS of compliments on them. Trust me, you'll like them.

How did you guys attach the fog lights? Did you attach them directly onto the bumper or secure them onto the frame of the car? If it attaches directly to the bumper, could someone give please give me some DIY help. Thank you!

you will need to drill the hole with your bumper then have some screw to keep them tight. Your bodyshop should be able to do it. Just give them the foglight.
