Custom LED Side Markers
hey guys,
as pretty much anyone can tell, i'm ripping off this idea from clearcorners.com. i'm sure that their craftsmanship is unparalleled and top notch, but i just dont have the $440 to buy the dual intensity side markers. so i made my own. more info soon to come. any questions will be answered, so ask away.

lol i dont think yall get it. i'm making these for myself, for my car. i dunno if i have the time to make another set. besides, it would be 280-300 bucks just b/c of materials and how many freakin hours it takes. i'll help answer any quiestions if someones wants to take on this endeavor themselves.

update. i was talking with Ares and he brought to my attention a stupid mistake. if you wire 1 resistor to X number of parallel branches, the resistance remains constant to each branch. 'Doh!
so here's my new wire job. i went back and revamped it. much cleaner, and much nicer.

man, like i said before. i dont think i'm going to offer these for sale. THIS pair is for my car, and i dont know if i have to make another pair for anyone. it would be 280-300 bucks for me to make a pair for someone like. here's my reasoning:
1)i'm a full time student, spare time isnt THAT abundant. but summer is coming up soon, so i might be able to make 5 or so pair then. idk.
2)the materials alone cost me 125 bucks. then you add well over 20 hours of labor right now, and i'm not even half way finished!
3)i'm the first and ONLY person to have the 21 LED's. i take pride in that fact. plus, i'm making it myself. if i did make a set for someone else, thats just one more thing that makes my car just like other Z's out there.
if there is an individual who wants to aquire a set of these, i strongly suggest just getting a pair from clearcorners.com. if you are serious about these, and want ME to do it, PM me and i'll see what we can do. but as for offering this as an item for sale to the masses, no way. i dont have the time, or resources.

For those interested in LED sidemarkers, Ares, forum mod, has been selling LED products for Z for more than a year. (Already mentioned above and ares chimed in) I have the one with Luxeon LED's (Super bright ones, 7 per side) and I love'em! Price is reasonable too.
And Ares's customer service is second to none!

yeah. that write up is a good one. i just wanted more of a filled look. more than 5-7LEDs. and ares is great on ANY of his services. i def recommend him. i just made this thread so everyone could see what i'm working on, the finished product, and what you can do with some spare time. by no means am i trying to sell my own product or degrade anyone else's.
