no write up since a body shop paint it for me. I paid $500 for the paint job (but i got ripped off) If Elegantwoodesign can do for you, the price should be in the $300 range only. Good luck. BTW, check with your local body shop.

any body shop can do this kind of painting job. Make sure they deal with vinyl before. As you can see, you don't see the rough texture on the console anymore. They are smooth as baby butt.

Ok guys I did some digging and found the email they sent me. Now understand I was going to get more than my dash painted but now I just want to start off there and worry about the rest later. so its not .75 square inch they charge $1
email
OK, well sure we can do this. Do it all day long. We use a formula for this type of work which we have found to be fair and accurate. Normally we would charge $1.00 per square inch. But for a job this size we will discount that to $0.75 per square inch. Maybe a bit less. Holes are included in this formula and the measurements are edge to edge gross area. It is a considerablly big job. And we feel we are the best at it as do many of the customizers in SoCal. All parts must be sanding down to remove the texture, surface sealed and primered, then the Factory Daytona Blue paint, then the clear coat. Probably 3 coats of clear. Then it gets flatted and polished to a very high gloss. It will shame your factory paint job I assure you. No orangepeel. Just smooth gloss. You can do the measuring yourself and probably be within 5% of what we come up with as a price. We will need about 8-10 days for a job like this.

BTW we are doing a dash for somebodys Civic on 'Overhaulin' this week. Watch for our ugly mugs, I guess sometime in late Feb or early March. We are also doing some kind of Chevy SUV for the show next week. I guess they are tired of overhauling old wrecks

pinnacleliquid,
when i said i got ripped off because the Zgarage i went to, they contract the job out to the body shop. When found out and go direct to that body shop, the cost is about half. That mean the cost is in the range of $250 to $300. I am happy with the quality. 99% color match (metalic look also)
That why i said check with the local body shop first. For example in san jose, there is ONLY one or two bodyshop can do this kind of painting job. Let me check with the body shop again to see how much they charge and maybe you guys can order direct from them. Save money that way.
