Default How to Install In-Cabin Microfilter?

It stinks when I follow most vehicles. My nose is sensitive enough to smell their exhaust fumes.

Is there a way to install the filter, even though our cars are not equipped with one?

Installation Instructions For 350Z In Cabin-Microfilter:

1. Retrieve two pieces of cotton material small enough to fit in nostrils.

2. Stuff each piece of cotton material up each nostril.

3. enjoy the fresh air as you breath through your mouth.

IMPORTANT : Make sure to account for number of passengers and repeat procedures 1-3 as many times as needed.

Seriously, you guys would not happen to be talking about the microfilter located underneath the passenger side of the dashboard, would you?

I just press the a/c button for air to circulate inside of the car whenever I'm behind a car I know is going to give me that kind of smell (usually too old cars, or that smoke seems to be going out of their tail, or even garbage truks)

I don't think there is a microfilter for the Z. Because I can smell the air outside all the time. The one on the G was so good.

Everytime I follow my friend's RX-7 with no cats it smells so bad.

I've been told by the dealer:

1.) The 350Z is equipped with an In-Cabin Microfilter

2) The 350Z is NOT equipped with an In-Cabin Microfilter

3.) Depends which model you have

So...your guess is as good as mine!

There wouldnt even be a way to access it since the Z doesnt have a traditional glove box on the right side of the dash. The microfilter is located behind the glove box in cars like the Altima, Maxima, etc.

How would an air filter (of the sort you all are speaking of) filter out exhaust fumes? Those air filters are usually just "mechanical-type" dust/pollen filters. To get rid of any sorts of nasty smells you'd need a carbon filter of some sort... even then, I'm not sure that could handle car exhaust.

Take a Zyrtec and call me in the morning.

Those ionic breeze do a good job with masking the scent but dosen't do anything for removing pollen. At least I think...

A dust filter/pollen for the cabin is great.

That will help alot.

as far as exhaust fumes....

I drive with the recirculation on and the windows cracked open.

The 350Z is not equiped with a microfilter from the factory, but it can be "retro-fitted" if you want to do some cutting. It's not really going to help with smells though, just pollen and dust.
