Default CF windsplitter w/ stanoffs

A friend of mine here at school just put on of these on his EVO and it looks pretty tight. Has anyone put one on their Z? I thought it would look pretty good.

I dont like the way it looks on the Z. At least if it's the same thing that i'm thinking of.... It's the flat carbon panel, that bolts to the bottom of the bumper, and sticks out a little, with two rods to adjust and hold it etc...?
if it is, i'll pass.....

I suppose it would be somewhat functional in providing downforce, but you'd have to be going really fast, much faster than you would ever drive on a daily basis and probably faster than most people would drive on a track. So techinically, it would be functional, but realistically you'd just be putting it on for looks.

ummm i doubt it would really be functional...inorder for a splitter to be functional...it has to to be at least as big as the plasic piece under the car, and very very strong...i have seen one for the Z and it was $1500 .... and i was actually able to stand on it and jump up and down on it (carbon fiber)....that one was a fully functional one.... these that apr and other people sell are just simple pieces that are for show use really....

Yea i'd have to agree with your statement about the functionality of the APR one if you could jump up and down on the other one. I was wondering how it would be if it only bolts to the bumper. I would think thats a lot of stress on the bumper itself. The one that is longer seems more logical when it comes to functionality. Thanks for the info man!
