Just did mine. Passenger side only works when key is in ACC or engine running as wired to cigar lighter plug. When I get an amp in there for the sub in the mail I will switch it to permanent power.

In the fusebox, there is no domelight fuse, but the trunklight fuse works just fine.

My OEM aluminum sills are also merely overlays, stuck down with doublesided stickem pads. Mine was already coming loose and had to be re-glued before I could put on these new overlays. Much nicer than those cheap aluminum sills from the factory, which were already pretty dinged up.

Cool Light up door sills

Is it possible to change the color of the lighting in the light up sills?

Not a problem YORKY500
I connected my power wire to the switch that drops the window a half an inch when you open the door. It's that little black thingy in each door jam. I has a rubber boot covering it. If you choose this power source ... the sill light will only light when the door is open. I.E., entering and departing from the vehicle. As an alternative, you can always tap onto a constant power source (i.e., under your seat if you have power seats) and install a switch.

Exclamation doors sills

Everything on your install instructions for the illuminated door sills is correct except for the wiring. Unless my Z is unique there is not a constant power to the cigarette lighter. I knew this beforehand because my cell phone does not charge when the car is off. Yet like an idiot i still tried to wire it that way. Frustrated, but got it to work!

I bought a circuit add-on from Autozone and ran all the power off the fuse for the domelights and grounded each door to the switch that drops the window. The hatch is grounded into the ground wire for the hatch light so it turns off when the hatch shuts.

Yeah, I would like to have those, thought of having white LEDS though instead of amber, but really ... the amber matches the Z dash lighting very well..

Do you have a pic of this wire you speak of?? That's how I'd do it so they only light up when you have your door open.

My Door switch has a stripped bolt.. anyone know where else I can ground this so that the light turns off with the door shut? Haha... Or I guess I may have to drill the bolt out and replace?

Ah Yeyiii
