ummm, dont quote me on this, but I think HIDs are cabable theoreticly anyway of 0degrees which would be I have no clue what color(guessing in the yellow range though...) and up. going through yellow, white, blue, purple, and finally UV.
I dont think they can make red. not without an external tint.

unless you get white ones and get like a deep red film over the headlight so that the light appears redish. (probably as close as you can get, either that or something than can encapsulate the HID bulb and give off a red hue to the light, which sounds more complicated than the previous).

I've seen in japan, covers for HID lights that create a red or purple or blue etc... light be emitted without messing with the bulb itself.
however as "cool" as this may be, no matter what state you are in, this is highly illegal, and you will have no mercy dealt to you from the law, they will cite you. and it's very easy to spot. So unless you really care about those night shows, it's isn't worth attempting...
