I bought these Nismo N-Type Replica Kit, and having some fitment issue on the side skirts. As you can see from the close up picture, the front is shorter by almost 1/4", and has a small gap on the seam. Also the rear has a larger gap on the seam. I have never purchased a replica kit before, so is this normal for fiberglass replica kit?

If it is, then what can I do to make it work if I decide to keep it? I have contacted the vendor, and waiting for call back. If I return it, I will lose the shipping charge, which is close to $200.00.

Any advice? thanks in advance..

 

yea, you shoulf not have to cover the shipping...i would ***** and complain until they took that crap back and gave me what i paid for

I will give the seller some time to contact the mfg. and see what happens. If no word in 1 week (by next Tuesday), I will post the name where I bought it from..If you need to know now, just pm me. I agree that I should get my money back... the most may be just to pay for the freight to ship it back..

Looks fixable. . .my replica sides kinda do the same thing, but only on one side. Having my friend fix it. . .

Its pretty normal for replica kits not to fit.

 

The vendor is going to let me return it. I will be keeping the rear, but return the sides.. Seems to much money to fix it by my body shop... Just gonna get the US Nismo Side Skirts instead.. thanks for all the comments..

i have a "knock off ****" kit and its fine...no problems here. i'm not the only one either

 

Couldn't you cover the front gap with splash guards? If they fit on that kit that is... I don't know...I'll stop talking now. LOL

oh, it won't be cover by splash guard since there's a flare.. I just ordered the "real" Nismo side skirt, so it should be no problem..
