Default Paint Job for Bodykits

Getting the Vertex Full Kit with the Blitz Wing (authentic) & was wondering what is the average price for a paint job for the following @ a "respectable" bodyshop:

[1] Full Bumper
[2] Full Rear Bumper
[3] Sideskirts
[4] Spoiler

Also, how much installed? Just trying to get a idea on the average pricing for this kind of mod. I figured this kind of info may help others as well who are looking into purchasing a kit & have to estimate in pricing for paint/install.

Thanks!
James

My friend has a charcoal gray 300zx, and he had pretty good pieces (urethane full front, spoiler and sides) and the shop charged him $1400.

This was a fairly high end shop, and it was for these three items only. Paint match was dead on, as was install. I would expect the average price to be about $2000 installed/painted, as the bumpers on that kit are full size, not just lips.

I'm not asking for a "universal price". Just asking what is the "average" pricing someone would pay for this kind of mod. This is considering there are no issues, fitment is good, OEM color paint, & on good quality FRP material. I already know there are many factors but a rough estimate is all I'm looking for.

900.00 thats if the kit is perfect and ready for primer. If it needs work your looking at 60.00 a hour to get it right, about eight hours on top of that.

I recomend not being lazy test fitting kit yourself it is not hard to prime and sand the kit takes a time investement but if Like me you don't make 60 dollars an hour it is an investment in yourself. Then just take it in to get sprayed I have paid anywhere from 400-900 by doing all prep and install and realistically most kits (authentic) fit pretty well.

Let me know when you get yours done and what you pay.

Thanks G352NV & LaidbackRacr!

Bubble, since you're getting your kit installed soon. I'll be interested in seeing some good close-up pics of your kit once you get it installed. Please post some here when you get a chance. Thanks!

Just found out that I won't get mine for another 8-10 weeks so I have plenty of time to feel out my options.

Even better! I live in Sunnyvale but work in Milpitas so I'm pretty close. I'll definitely have to set some time with you to check out your kit once you get it on .

Thanks! That's always good to know since it will mean savings during prep/fitment.

FREE is good so long as it's quality work. I agree, knowing the right people is always a good thing .

Does anyone know where I can get a steel mesh grille to place towards the rear section of the air vents on the front bumper? Don't want those skinny chicken wire POS either. I want a nice, rigid, high quality steel one to protect my radiator & internals from rocks. I plan on having itt black so it won't stand out. Do body shops do this? I want this put one before they install my new front bumper.

Man...I can't wait to get this kit. I think my plan on matching this kit with the Blitz Wing is gonna look bad a**!!!

I actually found some pics of a SS with this kit so I now have a good idea how my kit will look like on my car.

Will do. Yeah, I really don't like the chicken wire type. It bends & breaks way to easy.
