Gee, at the supra comment above. As if no one here has ever seen a riced out Supra? You must be mistaken buddy, there are just as many "obnoxious, riced out" Supras as there are abused BPU ones. I spent a lot of time looking for Supras, and to make a harsh generality like that about the Z is just plain wrong. If anything the doors are a conversation starter--far from rice.

Put these on a Civic and I see your point.

I don't think he's flaming per say...he's just saying that the environment on the supra forums is different..and he's right. Just like they flame people with 19" wheels. Most of those guys are 100% performance. If it's not functional, they don't want it. Fortunately, we want to make our Z's look better/different AND faster

Yeah, I didnt take it as a flame--the Supra community as a whole is great, as is ours--very knowledgeable.

The blanket statement to me is flat out wrong though--it's not like this was posted in the Forced Induction forum. Our FI/performance forum is just like the Supra community--100% go fast, and thats that.

Peace!

rice: use cheap part such fart-can muffer, unmatch color add on body kit. It will cost more than 2k for vertical door. it has to be one freaking EXPENSIVE rice. hehe

And my 19" wheels and tires weigh the same as my stock 18's in the front and only like 2-3 pounds more than stock in the back. I think my supercharger will MORE than make up for that.

Here is the best thread
https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/92149-the-dr-bonz-lambo-door-experience.html

and another
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ighlight=lambo

I pasted it all into a document and then removed anything I didn't think my installer would need (like "this is going to take 20 hours" etc.) because I didn't want to have negative thoughts ahead of time. I then copied all of the pictures I could find that people posted showing which bolt to grind, which piece has to be rolled etc. Printed the doc and took it to the installer.

I wish I had saved a soft-copy I would post it but unfortunately I did not. I do have it in hard copy. I could scan it and get you a copy I guess. PM me for it and I will get you one in thenext couple of days.

I can tell you this... I told the body shop ahead of time to focus on the doors and leave the wire extending to me. Although you do not really have to extend the wires in your door panel (they reach without extending them and everything is working fine with mine) I found that I do want to do so. This saved them a lot of time and me a lot of expense. This weekend I will take that upon myself
