Default Lambo - Vertical Doors Inc. Installed

Just got the car back after the install.
A big THANK YOU to Ed (Dr Bonz) and Andy (McDuck) for all of your help on this project. The install was flawless.

Sorry for the poor picture but it is cloudy outside. I just couldn't wait to post one.

I bought the kit "slightly used" from someone on this board. New, they go for anywhere from $1,300.00 to $2,300.00.
Install time is around 10 - 12 hours.
My body shop rolled the pieces that needed it and did not cut anything.
Install including paint will vary depending on body shop but you can count on it being more than 750.00.

Anyone that says these are flimmsy are nuts. They are solid. I can slam the door shut and it closes perfectly.

I like that a lot--beautiful car.

Is there a way to make the doors go ALL the way up (i.e. so the make a 90 degree angle with the car?)

Thanks, looks great.

what is the different between this kit and the one from San Diego place? Can this door go up to 90 degree because the place down in SD claim that they can go up to 90 degree.

I want to this mod as well but I'm looking into a new kit that just came out. I saw it last month at a car show. DUB Magazine had Snoop's car for the show with this kit on.

looks cool, but damn 2+k for a pointless mod? z owners are a lot ricier then supra owners...no offense just general observation

if i decide on a z id end up probably getting some sort of front lip and some 19s, something i would get flamed for on supraforums because of lose of performance with 19s, but on here its all good...so just different comparied to what i am use to

I can see that... though, I think it is far less ricey than plastering your car with "performance company" stickers or adding a less than tasteful (aka obnoxious) looking body kit.

Besides... once you have aftermarket wheels, full suspension upgrades, every possible motor upgrade short of tearing the bottom end apart, clutch/flywheel, body kit, audio system w/DVD and NAV, etc, etc... you have to find something else to spend your mod-money on! Seriously, the Lambo doors was my first non-performance mod and, to date, one of the few I have and I love them.

Looks sick man.....i have the same kit....they are flimsy when the wind blows....could also be due to the ambient temperature and the behavior of the hydrolic lift....

Nice on a PPW I was the first on a Liquid Aluminum We are pseudo trendsetters!!!!

mcduck- werd!

NoahzBurnt - your NOT supposed to be driving with the doors up!

Seriously tho- I wouldn't say "flimsy" but yes they do move a little if the wind is blowing on them but then so does the hood and the hatch if they are "up" and the wind is blowing.
I was following your thread also. your car is sick. And why do you have a picture of my gf in your avatar?

I am a 6'1" guy with a couple "extra" pounds around the middle and I can get in and out without even raising the door. It opens far enough horizontally to allow easy entry and exit without having to go vertical.
But then why would I have this if I didn't want to go vertical???
