Shift Knob Question: What knob will make shifting FEEL easier?

I've seen many post of people posting what kind of shift **** they have but I'm curious to which ones actually make shifting feel a lot smoother (without changing to a short shifter setup). I've read that if you get a heavier shift ***** (a.k.a Counter-Weight Shift ****) vs. a light-weight one, it will actually make shifting feel easier. Is this true? Also, if this is true, then why do people go with titanium *****? Is it simply for looks?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Shifting feels smoother and more ergonomic with the stock shifter believe it or not, at least IMO. I have the Nismo Ti GT shift **** right now, and it's not bad (took a bit of getting used to). Just doesn't have the swing ease of the stock shifter (but it sure does look nice
).
I had a Nismo Chrome Aluminum shift **** prior to the GT ****, and it was one of the ***** that I would NOT recommend. Seemed too thin and the notchiness of the shifts can really be felt. Shifting just didn't feel smooth and facilitated like with the stock ****... this again, IMO

Thanks Dave & Yobri.
So if lighter shift ***** make it easier to shift, what does a heavier shift **** do? This is what I'm confused about.
Example:
Greddy Counter-Weight Shift ****: gives you an easier and lighter touch for each shift. Because the shift **** is twice as heavy as most *****, it gives more precise shifting and a balanced feel. Most conventional ***** weight between .30 to .60 lbs. The Counter-Weight Shift **** weights in at .85 lbs. The shift **** comes with 3 different shift badges (Silver on Silver, Silver on Black, and Black on White). The standard 5 speed shift pattern with a Black Chrome Plated Finish will match your interior perfectly. The heavy duty construction gives you that classic look. The ergonomic design is 44.5mm in diameter and 52mm in overall height.

I'm currently shopping around for shift ***** right now & I'm looking for something a bit more functional vs. looks. Obviously, I would still like it to look nice but I would rather have something that will help me shifting then something that just looks good.

The weight argument somewhat makes sense... the Ti shift **** is not light by any means and the stock **** isn't so light in itself. But besides weight, size of the grip may have some bearing as to the ease of shifts as well.
The Nismo Chrome Aluminum **** was rather light and thin (less grip area), thus I had that not-so easy to shift feeling (rather a funky notchy feeling)... I'd say that if the Greddy Counter-Weight has a decent girth grip and weight, you would have a sound shift **** for comfortable shifts. Keep in mind that I've never personally tried using THIS particular shift ****, so this is all relatively "theoretical-speak"...

Yes, I'd have to agree that the OEM **** is pretty good already but I guess I just want something different. Planning on changing the shift boot, e-brake handle, & e-brake boot as well.
So does anyone here have a "Counter-Weight Shift ****"? Already gotten feedback from the light-weight folks so now I want to see what the other end of the spectrum has to say.

In all cars I've owned including the Z the heavier the shifter the smoother the shifting, I don't care about ergonomic...I hardly feel that ergonomic shifting is going to prevent carpal tunnel. Heavy shifter easy shifting...try it out.

Very nice! I've actually just seen this **** on some other member's post & it looked really nice. What is the weight comparison to the OEM ****? How does shifting feel in comparison to the OEM ****? Also, do they have this wrapped in leather or hard rubber? My area gets fairly hot during the summer so I don't want to burn my hand off
.
.
OEM **** is light, I currently have adjustable weight Tenzo R on my car with all weights on there. I also have momo, sparco, stock and various other. I love more weight
i have a razo drift ****(the cueball style one) and its light as hell and i like the feel ,its almost like the shifting didn't get harder but it feels more secure when you throw it into gear
