Default First 350Z Dominican Republic, blue interior

First I would like to send all the best wishes and thanks to William if your reading the forums, who sold us his position in the waiting list.

Well, finally after a couple of months waiting the Performance Daytona Blue arrived in the Dominican Republic. The car came with 10 miles! on the ODO. I know your all tired of hearing all of us new excited owners talking and talkig, so Ill just post up the links for the pics, Check out the custom interior ...

P.S. The car is NOT clean, the pics were taken real quickly after arriving.

The car will be fitted with Clarion 7in DVD/CD/Mp3 player and all the goodies, no engine mods, thats whats the IS300 Turbo is for , you can see if you go back up a folder in the pictures...

Nice collection. Congrats on the new addition to the family. I know having a sports car on an island limits the places where you can drive because of low ground clearance. How is it in DR? Are there plenty of flat raods to drive on? -m

Thanks for all the compliments. The roads in my country are REALLLLLLLY bad so you can imagine the jumpy ride in the Z, potholes are the cars major enemy to those 18in rims. Good thing though is that you can go as fast as you want basically when you get to a short, nice straight away.

Cariza,

Congrats on your car! I spend some time down in Santo Domingo every once in a while (my parents have an apartment across from Plaza Naco and on the beach somewhere) and I dig the place, but man... with the roads the way they are... it must be harsh on the Z.

On another note, did Lance do work on all your cars or just sell you the kit? He did my '95 Celica with a Toyomoto turbo kit and I must say... after 7 years, its still running *very* strong. I know he works with Toyota's/Lexus' mainly, but are you considering perhaps taking the Z to him for some custom work? Lemme know!

Regards,

iboost

Hey Iboost, you got the tell me when you visit again the DR to show you around.

Lance from Toyomoto has come to the DR a couple of times to work on our cars, he first came to work on a 9 sec mustang we have here. He installed the Haltech and did the tuning. The car before Lance tuned it made 540rwhp, after Lance installed the Haltech and made some tweaks adding fuel and voltage, we finished the day at 740rwhp. Lance KNOWS his stuff. Hes an awsome mechanic but an INCREDIBLY tuner that knows his way with electronics.

His last time here was on Easter week which was to build the IS300, he had shipped out the parts before and did the install when he came with some help from our local mechanics, took 4 days and we had a 500+ hp IS300 which is daily driven with no problems and still runs Lexus smooth.

I really cant say the Z will remain stock 100% since we basically have modded every car in the house. Since we just finished the IS and the gas prices are really getting high here, I doubt we do any "major" modifications to the Z. The Z is a pleasure to drive as it is, its a complete sports car, handling brakes and power. The IS is a monster at speeds (It accelarates from 60-112+ almost as fast as the Z does a 0-60!), but its a touring car not a sports car.

A good friend of mine here had a 95 Celica also which he wanted Lance to work on some time ago, how much HP did you get from the Celica? Those engines hold boost pretty well!

Cariza,

I'll be in DR at the end of December for a SCUBA trip. I'd like to meet up with you while there. Shoot me an email if you'd like.

Default Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations ! The Z looks great . I just received mine less than 3 weeks ago here in NewHampshire .I have been to Puerta Plata a few times . Great country , but the roads . Also , I'll bet the locals love it . Just be careful with the way some people drive on that island . It made my hair stand on end . Have you taken it along the coast yet ? We travelled a bitin the North and found some fairly good coastal roads the Z should enjoy . Have a good time with your new car !
