Just get stainless steel. It may not glisten like a polished set but it sure looks a hell of a lot better and won't rust. I replaced some in my engine bay but not all of them. Could take pictures if you'd like a better idea of what it looks like. It's one of those cheap mods that makes the car look so much better. Not quite sure what Nissan was thinking with those green nuts.

they have a polished bolt kit at courtesy parts its 99 bucks. I hadn't seen one at Performance I searched their site but didn't find anything could anyone post a link?

I just searched online for samco hose kit think I got them from 350evo, and the hose clamps are from pi-thon some of them were a real ***** to get on. I bought mine from www.zeetoyz.com the site doesn't seem to be working though..

I know this is stupid to ask, but I have tried EVERYWHERE....

how do u polish things? I dun understand how things can go from super dull (like our plenum) to super shine.

I really want to do this myself, can someone please give me some pointers? Is it really hard?

+1...seems like a good project if it can be done by beginners.

Basically what is done is the plenum is buffed so much that it just buffs the rough stuff off of the plenum, and that is what makes it shiny like a mirror.

Dremel sells different attachments that would probably work for polishing the plenum. I took mine too a guy that uses a big belt looking thing.

Just keep in mind that with a dremel it will take a hell of a long time to polish, i'm sure there has to be some people on the forum that has polished it themselves..

Hmm...I have the patience but I lack a dremel. How much is a dremel anyway? I know I should have one...they do everything.

I think dremels cost anywhere from 30 - 80 dollars depending on the model...

one off topic question to Santacruz, I was just curious how in the world are you able to have so many posts?

Got one question for you guys with the polished plenum. Did you have the inside polished out for smooth surface?
I have read many post on many sites that polishing the inside helps the flow of air.

P.S. Its easy to polish aluminum. A demel on that size of metal would take you forever.
