Default Base Headlight to Xenon Headlight?

Does any one know if I can switch my Base Halogen headlights for Xenon headlights. I am pretty sure the headlight plugs are different, but what would I need to do in order for them to run right? Would the ballast burn my fuses or computer? Any help would be appreciated!

i converted my halogen lights wid HID. don't know if that's what you're reffering to but i got the stock ballast and hella HID light. it's easy to install just have to cut the connector that you have and put it on the connector that is supplied with the HID. Good luck. i know some of the base owners here did thesame stuff.

It answers one question...I can get a 350Z headlight connector equipped with Xenon lights and cut my 350Z base model (non-Xenon) connector and wire it up so that I can simply connect the Xenon headlight!

Is this true?

Is your Hella HID light a kit? Do you have pics?

I dont want a HID kit, but rather use the stock 350z Xenon (Projector) healight instead. HELP!!!

I got my Kit from Jun on here. If you want to change out to xenon projector you will most likely have to buy the whole headlight housing which equals around $1000 plus the ballast and bulbs. it looks to me though that if you could open up the headlight housing you could unscrew the projector part and screw in a xenon projector, of course the problem is finding a xenon projector without it being in a headlight. maybe try finding a junk yard with a dead Z.

I am not explaining myself well.....

I want to switch out my whole entire Halogen headlight and replace it with a whole entire Xenon headlight (350z), but I dont know if my halogen headlight connection will fit the Xenon headlight. What connections do I need? And should I be concerned of the power it need?

....I didn't think there were any differences in the actual headlight between Xenon and non-xenon. You just need the ballasts and harnesses and bulbs. I think people have answered your question, you are just not understanding the answer. Send an email to user Jun on this forum. He sells plug and play kits to upgrade to Xenon using the stock ballasts.

I have switched out the halogen bulbs and replaced them with Mcculloch HID Kits on three vehicles now. I am very pleased and it is plug and play. I order my kits on ebay. Just search Mcculloch HID and there is a seller; supervtec, that sells 4 different temperature bulbs for all light fitments. I like the 6000K myself.

Good luck.
