Removed Rear Windshield Wiper
Well I decided to remove my rear windshield wiper. I never used it much and I'm very happy with how the car looks without it. The removal was very easy. The hardest this was finding the right cover to cover the hole. Anyways here are some pics:
If you don't ever use your rear wiper I would recomend removing it , it's easy and looks great.

I used a sink hole cover to cover the hole here's a link to a write up on another site:
Well they won't let me link it , check searches for removing the rear wiper on this forum and others for some other writeups.
This road is realy fun - it's little arkansas road - it goes in between wimderley and san marcos. It's a very back back road - i had to hit a low water crossing with a bit of water to get to it. But there is no traffic on this road , i was on it for about 2 hours taking pics and not one single car
Anyways here's a quick how to:
remove the plastic cover on the base of the wiper (it just pops off)
There should be a nut under that on a post. Remove the nut. Then the wipe is mashed down onto the metal post so you're going to have to swist and pull a bit to get the wiper off - this won't be easy. I twisted mine until it came off.
then remove the plastic lining on the back hatch
The wiper motor will be located here - i circled the bolt holes - unplug and remove the motor
motor:
This will leave you with this hole:
I then painted the sink hole cover gloss black and then added silicone to the bottom of it to seal water out. Wait for paint to dry and press it over the hole. the silicone should dry in about a day. I put it on over night and then left it to sit in the sun the next day and the cap settle down all the way to the body very nicely. And that's that. - buy some rain-x
Hope that helps. Once again click on pics for larger view.

The wiper motor only ways a couple pounds.
Thx I'm enjoying the club, however i'm not sure what to use to cover the fluid nozzle hole. I was thinking of rerouting the water line back to the front though - eventually use it to spray on an intercooler when i get the $ for turbos. For now it will become a water gun

Looks good! I've been meaning to do this for a while now. I just need to get matching paint for the cover. I know there's like a 5-10 lb weight in the hatch (I think).
