interior make over
hey everybody.. i just wanna know what you think about this. i saw another guy paint on here his radio console area down to his shifter base... painted it white. and i was walking down the store the other day and i saw some interior spray paint. what im thinking of doing is making white a big part of my cabin interior... im gonna spray the sides of my fabric chairs white and middle a solid black..the console and shifter area white as well. what do yall think? has anybody seen this paint at work? does it stay and look nice? if it works and looks good.. im gonna think of painting the other black parts of the interior another color... still a plan in progress... cheap way to make the car pimped out from the inside... if you have any suggestions feel free to add
WOW THATS F***ING AWESOME! yes thats what im talking about! my car is black.. and i want another color to make it stand out... how did you do that? where did you go? i live by you... did you go to any shops near by? where?
spray paint your "chairs"!? WTF!? First of all they are called seats. Chairs are at your dining room table. Second, You can't honestly think paint on fabric would look anything short of ghetto would you? This is the most disgusting idea I've heard yet. Kinda reminds me of what people used to do to their honda interiors.

If it looks like what bubble posted then please by all means disregard my post.
Thank you for your cooperation.
i would strongly suggest NOT to spray paint your interior on your own.
get it done professionally and make sure the shop knows how to take care of plastics especially if you want it smooth (not textured).

It may look good once you put it on but after a couple months/years, it's going to look like sh*t.
I saw some guy painting his fabric seats one day. and I was like WTF.
long story short I looked at them later when he was done and they were drying. looked like ***.
as for the hard surfaces of the interior. they can be painted without problems. IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING. if you head into the task with a can of spray paint from pepboys, expect it to look like crap. if your an experience painter, you could do it; but if you were you wouldnt be asking this youd just do it... so Id suggest you have it done for you; or youll spend 300$ to get a new interior thatll be the same color as you started.

yeah and remember-- just cause a shop SAYS they know what theyre doing doesnt mean they actually know what theyre doing. Licensed or not.
I had a shop do my door panels for me in two-tone daytona blue and white...
Well, it looked pretty good for a month or two, but then I noticed chip here, chip there. In reality, I dont even think these guys bothered to even sand the surface and I wouldnt even be surprised if they didnt use adhesion promoter either, I think they just took the door panels and sprayed the paint on them and handed them back to me and said theyre done.
Anyway, my main point is, go to a reputable shop where you can see examples of work they have done. Since you live near Bubble, I would suggest going to the same shop that did his interior for him.
