It's a hit and miss. All I can say is that if you have problems with the hood, Seibon will do absolutely nada to help you. They will say get some pics to show whats wrong. Then they will say.."well this is strange, this is the first time we heard of this problem"
Lastly, they will try to make you deal with the shop you bought it from.

For those that are interested in the hood... do yourself a favor and buy it from a local motorsports/speedshop just in case it doesn't fit and you have to return it.

I do have to say that my VS hood looks really good. But I had take out the stock latch to make it fit. Personally, dealing with Seibon's customer service, or lack there of, I would never even consider buying another product from Seibon again.

I haven't heard of any Seibon hoods turning yellow.

The first batch of TS hoods didn't fit well, but I'm not sure if they resolved that. I would like to think that they have because a while back they stopped making the hoods to correct the problem. They are making the hoods again...

As far as aftermarket hoods, specifically, carbon fiber hoods, going to be extremely tough to get a hood that will fit without adjusting the hinges/latch.

Seibon had horrible fitting hoods out of the first few batches, they recalled them and now they are better, but still aren't perfect. Read the first sentence in this post as to why.

well, Seibon makes the molds for their hoods from other hoods already out there. That's why they're called knockoffs...it's a copy of a copy. Just like a Xerox or a anything else copied, the third generation copy will never be as good as the original.

the Seibon is not a copy of a copy at all actually

as for Seibon, the service you receive is all down to the person you buy it from...if they step up to the plate and do their job as a distributor/dealer, you won't have any issues - if you buy it from one of the many places that are not official dealers, it will inevitably much tougher to get anything handled. This is NOT something exclusive to Seibon, but rather to the industry as a whole

No they aren't. And i'm sure Seibon wouldn't like a Top Secret rep. spreading lies on the forums about their products. The TS hood is original, and so are a few other hoods they make.

They do make a copy of the Top Secret hood (Seibon TSII hood)

They also make a copy of the Veilside Version 3 hood (Seibon VT hood).

They are a total knock off company that explians why there hoods fit like sh*t.

Yeah.

Not sure about that, Veilside doesn't offer it in CF (the design may be different).

Two hoods out of the 5 or 6 they make, make them a knock-off company? No.

You need to get your facts straight before you accuse people of spreading lies...

The TS hood is original, and so are a few other hoods they make.
Their "TS Style" hood is NOT original. It is an unauthorized knockoff off our Top Secret 350Z hood.

Take a look at Seibon's website, for virtually every sports car (think S2000, 350Z, G35, Supra, etc.) more than half the hoods they make are rip offs of other company's designs. They also like to chop up other company's designs and make a different version....which is fine, at least it's not a blatent copy like most of the rest of their hoods.

Are you confused on what the TS hood looks like?...here is the Seibon TS hood. The thread is about this hood, not the replica of your's.
http://store.yahoo.com/hopup1/setsstcafiho.html

The TSII is what looks like the Top Secret hood.

(for the record, the Veilside Version 3 is what Seibon's VT looks like, not Version 2)
