I'd buy it and use the inner housing for LEDs and retrofit to our factory taillights. But $300+ is too much. I would do it if it costs half of that.

Hahaha... I have talk to the designer who made these lights. Turn out he started from a factory taillight. He works for a automotive lighting company(I won't say which) Took the stock light and put on altezza light parts he has from the factory and came out with this. This is why there is a bubble light, which makes the light so ugly. But you know what. These lights are becoming very popular in Japan. Go figure...
