Default Widebody ???'s

My friend has a Z and he was thinking of going widebody and I ran a search to gather information but not much.

For those with a Widebody could you answer some questions:

1. Would you do it again?

2. On the quarter panel, did you leave it alone or did you cut the old fenders?

3. What did you pay for paint/install and where?

4. What wheel size/width/offset did you run?

Feel free to add any additional comments.

Thanks

My bussiness partner member Elitemotion was one of the first to do the Veilside Version 3 widebody Kit.

He's in Italy on Vacation and his car is now totaled but i can answer the questions.

1. Yes he's doing a widebody RX7 now.

2. He had to cut the rear fenders hence making it a widebody.

3. He paid $4000 for install at M-1 Auto Body to rush it for SEMA 03.

4. The wheels will have to be custom made.
He ran 20x9 +18 (front) & 20x11 -18 (Rear)

Heres an old pic of it .

The car was totaled from a Supra cutting him off trying to get the Widebody to race.

Wow.. someone didn't die?

I mean, not because of the accident, but because of the shooting each other after the accident. (I must be really pissed off if I end up totaling my Z because of some dumba$$ who doesn't know how to drive and cut off when there is no space.)

To go widebody or not to go widebody. Well to do it the right way I would not go with a kit. This is my own opinion. I would do all metal but it will cost a lot more. My car is all metal and in my opinion it was the way to go. You see to make it look clean you will need to mold the fiberglass kits into the finder. Fiberglass expands and contracts at a different rate then metal. This can and will give you cracks over time. You get what you pay for it true in this case. Another reason I would do all metal is that fiberglass will crack if a rock hits it when flying off the tires not to mention when that one moron leans on the fender. And we all know they are out there. Either way you will be happy.

My cars wheels are 19x12 +6 in back and 19x11 (don't remember its offset) in front. Back tire is a 345/30 19 and the front are 285/30 19

If you want to see how they did the widebody on my car you can go to my website and click on the gallery link.

Mazzoo. They should have based the 35th anniversary Z after your car and made it a widebody to distinguish it a little better. It's freakin' hot.

The 350Z & Porsche have mutated!!! Very sick looking. How about some vids?? You have dyno # pics or anything to show off the AEBS & TT. About how much has the total cost been for all of the mods??
