Default Which rear bumper with the ings half lip / side skirts?

Whassup guys..

As the title says, I have the ings front lip and sideskirts. I am looking for a rear bumper or lip that will flow with the kits lines, as well as show off my exhaust once I get a new one.

Thanks for the help. So far I've thought of the Do-Luck, but I cant think of anything else. Perhaps even cutting the inside of the ings rear bumper might work (the half bumper).

Looking forward to some suggestions.

Hey Ravi,

So you have the following & now you're looking for a rear bumper? Full Bumper or a Half Kit as well? Don't you like the rear kit that goes with this or you just want to get something different? Just curious since you already have everything else that goes with this kit including the spoiler, so I'm wondering why you're not considering the matching rear bumper.

I really love the rear, dont get me wrong

I was just thinking that there is no incentive to getting a nice looking exhaust if its going to get covered up anyway. I just sold my injen exhaust, so I might get something else.

I'm almost 80% sure I'm going to end up getting the ings half rear anyway..just toying with ideas

Thanks for the help!

Oh okay. Well, as far as cutting out that small section around the exhaust on the INGs bumper, there was a photoshop of this a while back ago. I'll try to look around & find it for you so you can get an idea of how it would look like.

i think I'll just stick to the ings half.

What about the Junction produce rear? I want the car to look super clean / Porsche-esque:

I think this will flow with the ings kit, the lines should match up well...

not only that, I can still buy a freakin sweet looking exhaust haha.

I like your style Ravi Did you end up buying the INGS style kit from the guy on the boards?

Hmm? That actually might look pretty good!

I'd have to see how the lines of the INGs sideskirts would flow though with this rear but I think it'll line up pretty good.

Yeah man, Bhasha is the inspiration. I really want the exhaust to bling back there hahah...

Thanks for the input. Seems like the cheapest I could find is $500 so far. Yes, I have the front lip and sides. Looking for a rear for the look which will be completed unfortunately right when the weather gets bad.

I have the ings+1 lx rear apron on my black z. i've received nothing but compliments on it and i love it. it's a nice, clean looking bumper that doesn't look too extreme.

+1...I think that the rear apron is actually the BEST part of the kit (after the spoiler of course! )

I would only go with the Juntion Produce if I did not have the rest of the half kit. That's just my opinion though.

Interesting perspectives everyone. Greekz, could you post pics of your car's rear setup?

Like I said, due to my budget etc I'll most likely end up with the ings+1 half rear..but I figured there is no point to getting a really nice looking exhaust (hks hi power) so I'll just swoop on something else thats cheaper yet provides good gains.

Thanks for the input fellas!

i'm kinda in the same situation as you. for the past year or so, i am in search of a rear lip to put on my z. theres no rear add-on out there that i really like.

i don't like the line where the lip meets the bumper, guess i'm too picky.

but if you already have the other ings pieces, it would only make sense to me to complete the kit.

Ok..well how about this:

Should I mold the rear to my car or keep the line where it attaches?

If you can mold it, that would look WAY better, but I bet it would cost a lot more. I would definately do it that way if I had the $$$

MOLDED:

Thanks for the pic, I've done a bunch of photoshops on my own z, and cant figure out if I want to pay to mold it or not. Fact is that on DB its not as apparent as on the lighter colors. I'll think about it and talk to my shop.

Is it even possible to mold? It looks like there would have to be a lot of shaving done in order for it to be flush. I know they could make it look like its part of the bumper, but not to the point where there is no line at all.

Anyone care to chime in?

Good point. It might just be a better idea to "soften" the line but not actually make the whole bumper look like one piece.

(btw: not a fan of the other kit that I ps'd)
