`06 changes are very disappointing. I can honestly say that I dont like *any* of the changes.

The headlamps were fine before. Change is not bad, if it actually had some benefit (either performance or aesthetic). The 4 amber LED side-markers are so disappointing. Thanks NISSAN, thanks for the 4 extra LEDs. And indeed, I agree with the concensus.. the bezels that surround the projector make the Z look like its wearing glasses.

The tail lights were good in terms of effort but a disappointment again in terms of performance. Looks wise they are almost identical, only difference is the interior and the utilization of LED. I would have been MUCH more pleased with a BMW 6-series looking tail light, that is a beautiful use of LED technology. This "style" is trendy and immitates just about every Infiniti... it just looks copy-cat and ugly. Thanks for the 8 or so LEDs... *sigh* Is it just me, but nothing was done with the signal/reverse lamps? Greaaaaaaaaaat....

Just not pleased.

I agree. They had the right idea but didn't execute it right. I think that instead of trying to re-design it, they should just used the JGTC designs which looks bad a**!

For the headlights, I think they should've Blacked it out for us &/or use true projectors like the following:

OR

Now for the taillights, I think they were heading towards the right direction but failed on the whole layout. Again, if they simply just used the JGTC style which is simpler but the LEDs are better positioned, I think it would've looked 10X better. I think the JGTC taillights uses 6 LEDs that you can clearly positioned in a straight triangular patern whereas the pictures of the '06 has a somewhat cluttered version of this.

I like the tails also, look subtle enough that it wont change too much of the appearance.

I have been trying to figure out how to change my taillights to LED (more just trying to figure out how to make it where the difference between brake and parking lights is greater) and this just might be the solution.

Both will be very expensive.

I dont think the headlights will be a direct replacement. It uses bi-xenon which may have different components and wiring from the switches. I think they have some auto or electronic leveling stuff too.

The 06 are a direct bolt on. The highs are MUCH brighter than the 03-05. The leds dont look good and the diffuser over the turn really takes away from the lens. Its a 50/50 throw up really. Is the 1500 worth just getting brighter high beams?
