Why go to the dealer, they range from $200-$300 though installed, they can even come to your house, check around! How big is the hit, typically less than a dollar bill and it can be repaired.

its $850.00 for glass and $250 for install from dealer....any Nissan dealer! Same **** happened to me and i am still looking around... I think i am just gonna pay the freaken' $500.00 insurance deductable and get a new factory OEM glass done! Also, i heard that the weatherstripping is extremely fragile, and if your get a DOLTZ to install your new windshield and they do not re-install the weatherstripping properly...then kiss your sweet Z interior good-bye!!!...also, hello squeaks and other dash noises!!

I got a little (5mm) cheap in my windshield. It's more like V shaped crack in the depth of glass. Surface is still smooth. Can it be repaired somehow???

Your insurance "should" replace it for FREE and without any extra charges to your insurance premium and NO deductable is needed, it's totaly FREE. Once a rock hit my windshiled and I called my insurance company, they replaced it for free, since those things happen often to people and there's nothing you can do about it most of the time. So call your insurance and talk to them about it and see if they will cover everything for free.
