Default Tint and Door Windows Question

Hi folks, I've been seeing some really great installs, but I'm worried about giving the tint enough time to cure and the movement from the windows when the door opens and shuts. How long did you wait before you took the car back? Did your installer disable the window motor AFTER the install? And, if your windows were disabled (rolled up all the way), does closing the door do any damage to the window?

Thanks for your time!

As I was getting ready to leave the installer, the film on the drivers door started to curl. They put it back in and heated it to speed up the curing on the lower edge. NO problems since.

Also, I saw a thread dealing with the window clearance (stuck due to icing) with no problem (ie the window cleared) but I think that would be window specific (tolerances may not allow yours).

Had my windows done 2 weeks ago. Installer had experience with Mercedes cars that did the window drop thing. He used a heat gun to set the edges of the windows. He told me to just try and limit getting in and out of the car too much for 24 hours, and not to roll them down for 48 hours.

No need to go through disabling the window BS, just get a good installer and all should be fine. Mine turned out great and no problems.

Heres the guy who did mine: www.lightningmikes.com
