Default Front Bumper Clear Reflectors: Are the eBay ones any good?

Anyone bought any of these off of eBay? If so, what is the quality like? Do they have any moisture in them?

TIA-

Rob

I bought a set off Ebay. Just remember to look for the clears that are made by Nissan.(O.E.M) Or contact the seller to make sure that the packaging is from Nissan.

Thanks. I didn't know that Nissan made clear reflectors. I assumed they were just made by some plastics company. A friend of mine bought some of eBay for his WRX a while back and they fogged up with a few weeks. After a few months there was about 1/2" of water in them.

havent heard of them filling with water; but they are different than the nissan ones(ussually)

ussually their some variation of

they do not reflect any light; and they dont work with LEDs.

then there is

which IMO are much better looking in person; made by nissan; can be purchased at courtesyparts.com or performancenissan(not sure of their website)

I bought the Nissan ones from Courtesy ... what's this water stuff you talk about getting into the fake ones and where does this water stuff come from and why would you drive in it?

I want to take my amber stock lens and see just how hard it would be to install LED's in them from the back. I'll experiment on the amber ones before turning to the white ones currently installed. I want to put three bright LED's in there - one behind each bubble to match the three dot theme going on in the car.

if your good with a drill and a soldering iron; its not that hard. but the 2nd hand manufacturers; they changed the design; the "lens" part is a smooth clear plastic on both sides; the backing is jagged. so; if you drill it and put an LED; the LED is very visible since there is no textured surface to the plastic above it; and you can see the hole and all.

I've had my ebay ones for a few months now and it looks fine. I think your friend with the water problem had clearcorners that you put a bulb inside. The bumper lens does not have any bulbs in it.
