What kind of rims are you running on... out of curiosity? I guess the trunk hatch comment makes sense.
You could also take out passenger side air bag and passenger seat for free, unless you take passengers around with you a lot. This would be way more weight than the wiper...

And yes...I totally agree about the passenger air bag and the seat. But unless it's a track only car that would suck if you wanted to bring your girl out one night. All though she would have a lot of room on the floor I guess.

I have my wiper shaved as well and like the lean look. Used a sink hole cover painted to match. Now that the wiper is gone, though, I'd like to shave the rear washer nozzle, since it's pretty much pointless, 'cept I can't figure out how to get it off. Anyone know how to remove it and have a recommendation of what to use as a hole plug/cover?

Here are the pics of the plug that I used. It is a hole plug from Lowes, painted black. Sorry for the sloppy pics and dirty car, shame, shame. I put a quarter next to it for size references. I cannot remember the exact size.

I just removed mine and found a rubber plug that fits so snug that it keeps the water out. I just put a black one in there for a test fit, but I am painting one right now to replace it. I will post later and let you know who makes the plug and what size as well as some pics. It is very low profile too.

I have to say that it looks good with the wiper removed, but I've never noticed the rear wiper anyways when looking at my car.....
Not knocking anyone who does it (may even do it myself at a later date) but I guess it is a matter of preference....
Either way, looking good!

Hey Laid Back, got a really stupid question I have had for a while. Will ask now.
When they "Shave" or "Mold" something like that, what the hell are they doing? Filling the hole with putty?

Rr H20...
I saw @ "ZDAYZ", in May this year, a 350Z that used the rear wiper washer as a way to put their XM Sat antenna ! I thought that was an awesome idea, especially to keep antenna off roof(paint) That would take care of the rest of the rear wiper deletion.

Anyone ever heard of Caplugs? We use their plugs at work in our military vehicles. Could you not just order a 1" flush mount Caplug and just pop it in place? They have a ridge on them so that once they pop in place, they will not pop out unless you want them removed.

Weight reduction is way more important around the moving parts (wheels for example) than on any other part on the imo. spending $100 to get ray's lugs to save a pound or two on the wheels is a way better performance wise compared to losing 3 pounds on the hatch.
the look is way cleaner though, but i'd stick with having it around, cause you'll never know when you'd need it (even with rain x).

Hmm? Guess I'm going to my local hardware store to pick up some plugs so I can do this tonight . I want to paint the plug as well but I guess in can wait. So you guys used silicone with the plug to keep it from leaking? Any particular type/brand you recommend?
