Question on Hi-beam
Hey guys, wondering if anyone is running a different high beam bulb. I have factory HID's which I love but wish my high beams were alittle brighter for those late night back road runs. So if anyone is running a brighter high beam please list where the got them w/ part# please. Thanks Alot!
This my first car with hid's. Before I would change my low/high beams with Nokya hyper white stage 2 bulbs. Very bright, off road use only, but I really didn't care and never got hasseled-Thank God! Yup, I'm about to change my high beam as soon as my car comes in, I have the bulb(its a h7 if u didn't know). These bulbs put out about 7000 kelvin, and are bright as hell. Anyone that gets in my way always pays the price, but if ur gonna get a bulb, thats definitely the best. Glad I could help!

Funny thing is, 100W bulbs are less efficient than the high-output bulbs we install with all of our colored LED headlamp upgrades.
In addition, its not ideal to even consider going with higher wattage bulbs unless you upgrade the factory wiring harnesses. You'll end up burning out the wiring, connectors, or the combination switch. Thats also assuming that the headlamp housing is designed to withstand the increased heat from the higher wattage bulb -- we havent tested the housings.
General advise would be to stay AWAY from the brand-x bulbs, unless you're buying from a major manufacturer: Hella, Sylvania, Narva. All these Nokya, Raybrid, and PIAA are all "hype" and not worth the money. PIAA gets thumbs down just for charging 80 dollars for a pair of bulbs, thats just rediculous. The Hella high output H7's run about 30 or so a pair.

Any LED is going to be more electrically efficient than a halogen light as would a neon light for that matter. I don't think we're looking to safe electricity as much as we're trying to light the road up more.
More efficient or brighter?
Both.

You are mistaken -- the halogen high beam bulbs be use are exactly that, bulbs, not LED. They are more efficient and emit more light. No fancy coatings or claims, just good quality and efficient.
