Default Marker Lights not working - Help!

Hello everyone. I just joined the forum, and I'm hoping some can help. Recently, I installed the Altezza taillights (yes, a topic of much controversy, but anyhoooo). The lights have a LED marker that has to be wired to the smaller of the 2 bulbs.

ANyways, what I did, was cut the small bulb, and put little male/female disconnects on all the bits so I could switch back and forth and my leisure between taillight covers.

All was working well. lights wired well, time to put them into the light assembly, and get back on the road. Problem is that the markers on the car (front and back) do not work any more, in addition to the inside door marker lights do not work.

I think what I did is have the wires touch momentarily, which caused a short somewhere, so I checked all the fuses, and they are all fine. So I'm wondering......is there any fusable links, or relays on the BCM that are hidden? I talked to Nissan (Reason I don't take the car in is because the closest Nissan dealer is 500 Km away) and they said "check the fuse on the BCM". Well, it;s fine, and so is everything else. So, I'm at a loss.

Any ideas? Please offer any ideas to help, but dumb-it-down for me a little, I'm learning here

Thanks very much.
