Looks good, man. Once you drive it out on the highway, post on whether the seal is still OEM-tight. I'll be looking into this when i get my Z.

Sorry, the bumpers, sideskirts, fenders, and door panels are only partially installed in order to take some pictures for you guys...namely Toby. Before I put the fenders back on, I forgot to take pics of the filled/sanded welded areas, so those will be Monday or Tuesday when the car is fully completed.

The last picture kinda shows the clearance by the fender and A-pillar. This clearance is the main problem people have...they can't get the door or door panel to fully clear the fender or A-pillar. Needless to say, this car clears both.

I've got a shop full of cars with lambo doors, the orange Z is the latest in line, to be done right after Toby's is sent on it's way. I will tell you though, when people come in here, they're like they have blinders on....they seem to be only interested in the 90 degree GTFactory doors.....

Looks amazing Steve. I know that this has been a frustrating wait for Toby, but I'm sure the final product will make it all worthwhile. Nice work.

kelly your right bro it has been frustrating (for both of us) but looking back on things I would have never trusted another shop to do this install. There are just WAY to many things that can or did go wrong but most shop would have just covered up

Default Finished doors

Doors in closed position

Doors in open position

Welds to inner frame and door were grinded, body filled, and painted to provide OEM look and finish

Fiberglass GTF panels

Tein Bonnet Dampers

Hood shocks don't fit with the OEM battery/driver side covers, or to be more specific the plastic frames that house those covers. The ends of the plastic frame had to be cut in order to allow clearance for the dampers in the closed position. You can see the rubber looming that covers the cut plastic edges in this picture.

I think these are JP Aero sideskirts. On all the cars I've seen them on, the rear portion doesn't sit flush with the quarter panel. I've seen the front not sit flush as well. The solution I've seen so far is some installers put double-sided tape on the inside of the skirt and try to stick it to the car. However, over time, the pressure of the sideskirt trying to pull away as well as particles of dirt that get caught on the edges of the tape eventually nullify the effect of the tape. The mounting angles in the front and rear of the skirt must be adjusted one end at a time, thus sit flush against the fender and quarter panel of the car without the need for tape.

Foglights off and on

The high swinging doors provide a huge opening for ease of in/egress

Nothing like truly vertical doors. Helluvan install! I wouldn't worry about the quality of the install if you were the one doing it. Props!
