I just bought an 2003 Touring model that needs a headlight and I'm confused as to whether there are multiple varieties of headlights for different models. Do some have HID's and some have a more conventional xenon set-up? If so, which models/years have what, and also if there are differences how can I tell by simply looking at the headlight assembly itself. Thank you for your expertise in advance.
PS. What a wonderful automobile we have!!!

You probably just need a D2R HID bulb. You might want to look into getting a pair so that the color matches perfectly. Also I think the highest Kelvin rating you want to go is 6000K, anything higher than that and you are going to sacrifice brightness for a more blue/purple color.
The high beam bulb is H7. Good luck.

no. headlight assemblies are slightly different too if I'm not mistaken. you have the HID headlights, which has a tiny projector-like glass in front of your low beam bulb. I think the only model that has the conventional headlight assemblies is the base model. Oh and remember not to buy the 06 headlights...those are totally different. Or if u do buy them by accident, u can send them to me. :P
