Probably the ones that hold up the hatch when you open it.

Did they say anything about the glass? I read before about a CF hatch and they said not to use the original glass but get lexan cut to fit.

lexan windows turn yellow and cloudy after awhile right? especially in the heat too I'd assume right?

Is it impossible to tint them?

you will have to drill the hole a bit bigger and use your OEM shock. No problem.

i suggest to paint them. That way you don't have to deal with the hood turn yellow. After all, the reason you buy CF is saving the weight right? It looks kinda rice with CF on the Z.

i was talking about the lexan window, not the CF hatch.....

I'm sure some people might think a painted window is the most pimpenest thing ever though

You cannot use the stock shocks since they are too strong and actually hold up the hatch when closed. I would not suggest the use of the oem glass either because I could only imagine the hatch would eventually start cracking. Fitment was actually pretty good considering the price and I saved about 45lbs with the use of lexan.

Lexan does scratch easily and will warp very quickly if you park your car in heated areas. I garage mine, so my lexan still looks pretty good. I had the guy that made my lexan paint around the outer edges to simulate the oem glass and it turned out very nice. If you really want to protect it, I would use clear 3m on the outside and tint the inside for full scratch-proof protection.

As a warning, the lexan willl leak a little bit so I would not recommend it for a daily driver if it rains in your area a lot. I use the stock rubber around the edges , but it still leaks a bit in the rivets which is why I quick detail my car weekly rather than wash it with the hose. You also lose the function of the rear defroster, which could be a pain during early mornings or late nights.

another question, would the hatch possibly crack with a big spoiler mounted? Is it that fragile?

you would need to have a brace made for the underside of the hatch to mount a large wing...people use aluminum usually to mount it

depends how thick you make the lexan....

My best estimate is that a suitable piece of lezan is probably about 1/10th the weight of glass. Not to be used on the street of course (not legal) - for track use only.

I think the OEM glass would look better than the lexon. I wonder if someone has the hatch with the OEM glass on it..
