There not that bad....I like the stock 06 red led tails better though.

Oh well, let's wait and see if Mike at Clear Corners can make them all clear and still be Street Legal.

 

I posted about those optional tail lights in the intial thread that was posted a few days back; I believe those tail lights may actually be DOT compliant. I cant say for sure, but if my memory serves me correctly that lower reflector serves three functions:
- rear sidemarker
- rear side reflector
- rear reflector

Those three items are all required in rearward lighting, so it really doesnt matter that the three reflectors up top are clear. However, if the entire tail light was clear -- that would be illegal. The way cars meet DOT requirements with all clear tail lights (ie: Lexus RX330) is that the bumper has a rear reflector and rear side-markers/reflectors, all of which are required. So, yeah.. you technically CAN have an all-clear setup. However, this is not something we would ever sell.

We are already developing optional lamps for the `06+ Z33, so just keep your eyes peeled. As soon as they are done, high-res images will be posted online. Although, something tells me that the `06 lamps just dont look as nice as the original Z33 lamps -- but who knows, maybe I'll change my mind when I get more accustomed to the them. As for now, I just dont like it. Same goes for that new Miata.. whats going on lately??? :-)
