Angry Nismo Wings and hatchback door strut

For those who has Nismo, do you guys need to change the hydrolic strut for the hatchback? When I got the wing from the dealership, they said I should change the strut since the wing is heavy. What do you guys think?

When I fitted my rear wing, I too did NOT change my strut either, and it's now a two hand process to open the boot. One hand to depress the catch, the other hand to lift the boot up.

Small price to pay for a drop dead gorgeous spoiler, in my honest opinion

Yes, mine requires 2 hands to open now even with the hatch weight taken out. Anyone know what type of replacement strut to use?

I just ordered a carbon fiber N1 Nismo wing for my Z...is it fairly easy to install yourself or would you recommend having a shop install it?

you dont neeed to change the shocks... but it helps unlatch the rear hatch...

Ouch, thats a lot of two handed action for that amount of money, no offence of course.

If you add the cost of shipping and the struts to the cost of ya spoiler, it sure makes it one hell of an expensive mod!

Think I will stick with two hands for now.
